Cliché Opposites

Prologue

As far as I know, fire and water can never be one. Such cliché words are common sense.
Even so, my dreams have become so vividly strange yet.. captivating.
But I say, they're mere delusions my bored brain makes.
It's still a strange occurrence

A red headed man I don't recognize kept appearing in my dreams. He was surrounded by flames holding his hand out to me, but he wasn't burned.
Could he be....
Who knows. I do not recognize this man.
His eyes were filled with sorrow, sincerity and.. love? No, it can't be..
This scene keeps repeating over and over and over every single night ever since that fateful day.
My head aches just remembering it.
Should I..? Try to find more information about him? Maybe I should.. but that would seem weird.. ugh I'll just ignore it.

"TSUKUMO-SAN HURRY UP!! THE MISSION IS STARTINGG!!!!"
I was snapped out of my trance and I looked to my side. Aria, my assistant was panting and looked distressed. Well, mostly because I'm almost late for my mission.
"Wait a bit, I need to find my keychain."
"Alright Tsukumo-san, just hurry up! They're waiting for you."
I looked around my drawers, only to find nothing.
I began panicking, frantically searching for my precious keychain.
'Where is it?? Oh shit oh shit, WHERE THE FUCK IS IT?!??!??'
My sweat turned cold and I heard a jingling noise below me.
'Oh thank God..'
I held the keychain to my chest and began walking towards the exit.

I ran outside to be greeted by my peers. Shoji Yamaguchi an A-ranked tanker waved to me.
"Mornin' Tsukumo-san, what took you so long??"
"Ah, sorry about that, I was looking for my lucky charm." I sweatdropped and awkwardly smiled.
Shoji laughed and asked if I found it. I just nodded and we proceeded to enter the vehicle.
On the way to the Gate site, I sensed an A-ranked monster approaching our vehicle.

'Oh no, I must alert the others.. this isn't good, but since it's A-ranked I should be able to manage.'
"Stop the car, there's an A-ranked monster approaching"
Everyone panicked, but managed to stay in their seats.
"Dungeon break??? Oh no.."
I exited the car via the sunroof.
The monster was around 6 meters long..
It had reddish-brown scales and resembled a komodo dragon.
Probably a Brick Monitor.
I prepared my swordstance, the Brick Monitor then spat a greyish opaque substance whilst charging at me.
I easily dodged.
I jumped and discharged a small amount of water on my blade. In a quick motion I spun and beheaded the Brick Monitor. Not wanting to waste the resources, I stored the magic gem and its horns inside of my spatial inventory.
"How did that monster even get here?? Must've been a dungeon break.. We should hurry"
My teammates then clapped.

"As expected of THE heartless soldier! Our best S-ranked hunter!!"
I got flustered and hid my face behind my hands.
"it's nothing, let's hurry up and go"
I said with a seemingly cold face.

I stared outside of the window the whole way there, I'm not really thinking about anything.. It's just that.. There's this empty space in my heart.. It feels cold.
I took a scrunched up photo from my pocket.
It was a picture of me and my older brother, a tall raven haired man and bright purple eyes. Oh how much I miss him..
Ever since he-
Ugh, my head hurts.. nevermind..

The vehicle stopped.  Everyone hurriedly carries and equips their armor and weapons. I put the picture back inside my pocket and took my spear. There were multiple lower ranked lizards. Maybe around C-B ranked monsters.
Well, gotta hurry.
"We have arrived, everyone quick. Exterminate the monsters!"

A civillian girl was being chased by a green crocodile-like monster.
I dashed and swiftly beheaded the crocodile monster.
"Thank you ma'am!" The girl thanked, she looked relieved. Thank God
"It's my job. Now hurry, leave this area"
The girl then ran whilst thanking me over and over.

I sighed, when I noticed a huge presence behind me.
I turned my head, there stood a tall blue lizard, it had black armor and bright blue eyes.
'A-rank? Might be a new type of monster.. Should be the boss' The monster then prepared an attack, a blue laser? Interesting..
BAM it fired it's way towards me. I dodged simply by just stepping a few meters to the side.
The monster was confused on why there was no one in front of him. I quickly jumped and tried to slice it's neck.
But the armor was too tough to be sliced in just 1 attack.
I ran in circles around the monster, trying to find it's weak spot.

I scanned his body using my skill 'Hawkeye'
A pretty handy skill I might say. Though it's just a simple zoom in, still, pretty handy.
'Then.. head? no too much protection.. Underarms? no, It's too sharp looking.. How about.. AHAA! it's its neck. Must be its source of power'
I sled down and dodged its tail and stomps. It tried to prepare another laser beam, but In one quick attack, I sliced its neck open and destroyed his source of power.
The monster roared in pain.

'How the hell is it still able to roar when I destroyed its neck?? Monsters are built different..'
I ended the fight using my endless barrage of water blades.
The monster then dropped dead, leaving me victorious.
All of the other monsters then disappeared.
Everyone cheered and celebrated.
"Great work senpai!!"
"Amazing! Senpai defeated the boss without any assistance!"
"Tsukumo san's soo cool!!"
Praise.. funny thing huh?
"It's nothing, without you all I wouldn't have been able to defeat the boss easily"
I smiled and congratulated them.

Then we all went back to the Draw Sword Guild building.

"Tsukumo-san, would you like me to prepare your motorcycle?"
My assistant Aria asked.
"Of course, thank you Ari"
I thanked her.
"My pleasure, Tsukumo-san"
she bowed and left to prepare my motorcycle.

sigh
It has been tiring lately. The dungeon breaks kept occuring.
It would've been easier if they contacted us earlier about the gates..
But well, it can't be helped. It's always in the remote areas.
I sat on my chair, leaned back.

sigh
Then my phone suddenly rang.
Who's calling at this hour? Must be important bussiness.
"Hello?"
"Sorry to intrude your rest, Tsukumo-sama."
"It's no problem, just tell me what's happening"
"Well, the guild master has called you to meet with a Korean Guild master"
