Blanche _ p o v
I remember it clearly, there was warmth in my life. By the arms of my mother, or the sun when i stay out until dawn. I too remember every icy weathers, from the snow that covered our kingdom in the winter like a white blanket all over the phoenix's domain. Quite ironic isn't it?
And the cold shoulders my brother had given me,
Upon reaching the age i am not sure anymore. My sister, she tries to make all of us reconnect. For we are the next generation of the bloodline, yet it was futile;At least for me.
Laughters and joyous sounds was heard echoing throughout the castle halls, it has been awhile. Fret not, it may not be quiet all of the time, but it wasn't as lively and warm as this one. 17 year old Blanche followed the sounds of jokes being thrown around like it was nothing. Peering to the side, seeing his older siblings act so carefree.
It might not be much,
But it hurts him. They seemed happier without him present.Back in the present time, new adjustments must be made all around the house along with routines. Now that Blanche revealed himself to be a Hybrid, and because of that, he stayed in his human form rather than his cat one. Thinking that this could be a turning point in their relationship-
As acquaintance, more so a roommate she can't say Blanche is her pet, Not anymore, after finding out that he is half a human being.
It was the weekends, Y/n had already spent the whole morning sleeping in until afternoon, to which Blanche wasn't accustomed with. Staring down at her, hair of hers messy and some on her face, her mouth slightly agape and her sleeping position, rather. Concerning. Cute. His eyes widened at the voice that randomly spawned in his head;
'Ewwww.' He revels unto himself, kneeling down on the floor as he continued to stare at her, for a minute or so, knowing that it's not what he came into her room for, his objections were just to wake her up, yet a part of himself wants to see her sleep, it's rather twisted. He tells himself, he likes watching how peaceful she looks.
It was a hot night, summer had just started. The city noises were something she didn't mind the slightest, in fact it was her white noise upon laying on her bed. Lulling her to dreamland, yet this particular night, the music in her earbuds is blending with the bustling city sound, an unpleasant melody she wishes to silence-
Hence resulting to removing her headphones, as she hopped off the bus stop. Work was hectic, just as any other day. All she wanted to do was to go home and snuggle with Blanche. Oh she could already feel the comfort of her home, seemingly the woman's brain automatically went to airplane mode upon entering the building;
Muscle memory driving her tired body to her apartment without passing out in the hallway.
Fumbling on the keys in her hand, which caused her tremendous annoyance, but alas. She had finally managed to find her keys amongst the every other keys that's being bind by her keychain.
Entering her safe abode, the place was dimly lit. She sighed in relief as she proceeded to plop on the floor of her doorstep, leaning on the wall as she closed her eyes. A minute of tranquility wouldn't hurt, she just needed to regain strength before doing her nighttime routine.
While she rested, a specific feline stalked closer on the woman's form. His face scrunched upon seeing her distressed. Blanche has came to hate that look on her face, even when she tires to regain her energy, her face seemed tense.
Maybe, that's why he likes staring at her sleep.
He likes how peaceful she looks-Y/n started to stir in her slumber, upon feeling the heavy weight of someone's presence. Opening her eyes, despite the sore and groggy feeling, she was welcomed with Blanche's face intensely staring at her. Her body jolted from fright as she rolled over to the other side of her bed, away from the white haired man.
"What the hell-
"You slept in. And I'm starving." He mused his eyes unblinking boring unto hers, ignoring the disheveled Y/n. "Blanche what the fu-
"Do you not know how to cook?" Y/n didn't received a reply, that silence making her want to retaliate her statement, "Ignore what i said." Rubbing her tired eyes softly, as she proceeded to sit up, "Alright what food do you have in mind?"
"I don't think you're in a position
of saying that." Blanche replied bluntly, considering her financial position, well. It's not that bad, but they're going to have to cut a few snacks, "Ok ouch." She chuckled, yet she feels like an invisible arrow piercing her heart.It was a chilly night, the phoenix land prospered in the warm as they tend to despise the cold. Yet here they are, celebrating happily on every corner you'll see, older or the younger generation, not a frown was present, decorations that indicates a celebration along with a feast, it is an important date indeed;
Even so, imagine how grandeur the celebration within the castle walls, maids and butlers bustling on the hallways as the chefs whipped up such cuisines that can only be eaten on the castle grounds, guests arriving from different area in their land, north, south and east. Nobles of different title and high names, all here to witness the coming off age of the Phoenix's youngest child.
From the chattering boisterous room, it went silent when the messenger announced the Pyre's presence, hence indicating the main events are starting.
Upon getting his name called, no figure emerged from the grand stairs of the castle. People that scattered all around the vicinity started to murmur amongst themselves, Amara looked at Ichci questioningly, He of course is as confused as her, as a reply he shrugged at her.
"What's with him now?" Matteo asked as he approached Nessa, who's seen to be knocking on a specific room. Receiving no reply on the other side whatsoever, "Oh shush, you shouldn't be too mean to him." Matteo clicked his tongue in annoyance as he proceeded to knock on the wooden door, "Oi, get out people are starving."
"Be gentler!" She hissed at him, he merely rolled his eyes, "Whatever." Losing his patience as they waited for a minute or two, angling his feet beside the doorknob of the right side door, before kicking it with all his might;
Only to be surprised it was never even locked in the first place, "It was never locked?!" Matteo glared at his sister, "I never wanted to open the door without permission you know that!" The room was illuminated by the light in the hallway, as they proceeded to enter the darkened room owned by Blanche;
To their horror/surprise.
The door to the balcony is wide open,
No Blanche was in sight.- To Be Continued
