"Your lipstick didn't last long" he grinned in my face while I was still sitting on his lap "oh shut up Chris I said jokingly seriously. I grabbed the pictures from the machine, stood up and walked out of the photo booth with Chris behind me.
We looked for the others. "I think I'll go now," I said to Chris. "Okay, do you want me to walk you out and wait with you for your Uber?" He asked "you don't have to" I said and smiled, suddenly Nick came from the side "hey Chris, Matt is asking if he should pick us up" Nick said "Uhm yeah, Chloe was just about to leave too. Should we take you to your house?" he asked and then turned to me "no, no" I said "no, we'll do it like that, you can come with us too?" Nick said and Chris looked at me expectantly "no, it's okay" I said "come on, it's definitely boring without Scarlett. If something should happen we can look after you, you had a lot of drinks," said Nick. "Okay, just because it's you" I said smiling.
We only found Jake and Johnnie, we let them know that we are leaving now and that they should let the others know.

"Okay let's go, Matt should be here soon" Nick said. We walked towards the exit of the building, it was 4:30 in the morning. I was really tired. We then left the building and it was really cold, but luckily Matt will be there in a few minutes. We walked down the street so Matt wouldn't have to look for a parking space. "When are you actually going to visit your family again?" Nick asked "I don't know yet. What about you?" I asked. "We're flying to Boston shortly after filming with Sam and Colby," Chris said. "Cool, after the shoot with you and Sam and Colby, I'll shoot another video with Jake and Johnnie. Maybe I'll visit my family then. Then I'll be home in our hometown with Scarlett at the same time," I says, "maybe we can arrange a meeting for the five of us. Boston isn't that far from you," Nick said. "Yeah, sure," I said, smiling. Matt drove up from further away in his car. He pulled up next to us on the road and we greeted him. "Chloe, you're coming with us, right?" he asked and I nodded "yes" "how was the party?" He asked us three. I sat in the back seat with Nick and we said "good" at the same time. Chris sat in the front and was noticeably quiet. "Chris, what left you speechless?" Matt asked laughing and drove off. "Nothing, the party was good," he said. We drove about 20 minutes home to the triplets. When we got to their place and went up the stairs, Nick said, "I'll give you something to change into." I nodded and followed him into his room. I heard Matt and Chris talking downstairs in the kitchen. Nick was rummaging through his closet for a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie to put on. He put the clothes in my hand. "Are you okay?" he asked and I nodded "yes, I'm alright" "I'm going down to Matt and Chris, join us, I'll give you something for the headache" he said with a smile. "Thanks Nick" I said. I was surprised that he still noticed that something was wrong. He left the room and went downstairs. I quickly looked at my clothes phone, I had a missed call from Colby and messages from scar, I decided not to look at them today. I went downstairs to the boys, they looked at me and Nick handed me a glass and a small aspirin tablet. I took the medicine in one gulp and while I was doing it, Matt said, "You should sleep it off, then you'll feel better again," he smiled. "It's not that bad" I smiled. "You had a lot of drinks. You can stay tomorrow until you feel better and then we'll drive you home," Nick said. "Okay fine," I smiled. "If you want I'll take you upstairs" Matt said and I nodded "goodnight boys" I smiled to Nick and Chris "goodnight Chloe" they both said. Matt took me to Nick's room. "You can sleep here, Nick already said he will sleep in my room" he smiled "thanks" I smiled "I really appreciated you guys" I smiled. "Of course, now get some sleep. See you tomorrow" he smiled and we went into separate rooms.

I lay down, but I couldn't really fall asleep. I decided to sit up and answer Scarlett. She told me what she did with her sister, minutes later I heard someone on the stairs, it had to be Nick or Chris. I answered Scarlett and told her about the party, but not about the kiss between me and Chris. Then I texted Colby that I went home early and I would call him tomorrow. "Nick?" there was a knock on the door and before I could answer the door opened. "Ohh sorry," said Chris. "It's okay, Nick's in Matt's room," I said to him. "If you don't mind, I forgot something here earlier, if I could get it?" "yeah sure" I said. He came in and went to Nick's desk and grabbed something and put it in his pocket, I couldn't tell what it was, but probably headphones or something. "Are you feeling better?" he asked "not really, I tried to sleep but the headache is keeping me awake" I said "Should I get you something? You have to drink a lot" he asked "no, it's okay" I said "no, I'll bring you water. You have to drink a lot and then you'll feel better again," he said. He left the room, I heard his footsteps on the stairs and as quickly as he was downstairs, he was back up there with me. He closed the door and sat on the edge of the bed and gave me a water bottle. "You shouldn't have drunk so much alcohol" he said and looked at me "I didn't, but I think it was just hard stuff" I said.
My phone rang and Colby answered, I looked at my phone briefly and then turned it off "Colby?" Chris asked and I nodded "mhm" I said. "He's taking good care of you huh?" he said. "Yes, he does" I smiled. "He means a lot to you right?" he smiled. "Yes, he is the big brother I never had. Colby was always by my side, when my mom left to start her life over with a new man, Colby took her place four years ago. I mean he's obviously not a mom, but he does things a mom does. He looks after me, I can talk to him about boys, he understands me, he asks about me and in the moments when I needed a mom or moments that a daughter experiences with her mom, he was there. He came to my graduation, he came all the way from California. My mom has forgotten me, he hasn't, never." "When was the last time you spoke to your mom?" he asked, "the day she left me and my dad. 4 years ago" I said "that's a long time, do you want to talk about it?" he asked. "There's not really much to talk about, but I don't want to bother you either" I smiled "you can talk to me, I'm here" he smiled. I moved to the left side of my bed and laid down on my side, I patted the free side and Chris did the same. He also lay down on his side and we were facing each other, my head was in my hands and my eyes were studying his face. "You know, we've always been a happy family. At least that's what I thought, my dad did everything for us and my mom was always there for me, she was the best and nothing ever changed about our relationship, only when she left. I don't know why she did that, she never tried to reach out to us. She changed her number, didn't give us her new address, I have nothing to contact her." I said "do you know why she left?" he asked "my dad didn't tell me everything back then because I was only 16, But over the years we have talked and I know that she cheated on my dad, she met someone new and wanted to start a new life with him. I would never have been able to live with the decision to move to L.A. if my dad hadn't been happy with a new woman. I didn't want to be like my mother and leave him. I wanna be better than her" I said
