this is my first fanfic, so sorry if it's not very good. i will try to use good grammar. the above map is a rough approximation of where Comet and (spoiler) Stormcaller traveled in pyrrhia. blue= Stormcaller and Comet green=Stormcaller red=big nest gray=temporary nest. with that, let's dive in!
5,000 AS (after scorching)
Comet POV
The sun rose over a stormy day in the mountains, with everything wet, damp, or soggy. well, almost everything.
Comet the Valstrax was sitting in his cave on the peak of Jade Mountain, thinking about the other elder dragons in Pyrhia. Several of them had disapeared, and the others had gone into hiding, but most of all, wondering where his General, Stormcaller the Fatalis, had gone. Outside, the storm raged, but Comet stayed perfectly dry. Then a lightning strike happened, shaking him out of his thoughts. It was not so much the lightning itself that startled him, it was the color. The lightning was red, so that meant it was likely a bolt of dragon energy, especially since it had the dragon energy signature. 'hmm... that could be worth checking out, and it's not like i'll be spotted in this storm', he thought.
Timeskip a few minutes as Comet flys to the mountain where the lightning struck
The dragon energy was still crackling on the mountain when Comet got there, and he felt buzzing in the air around him. 'hmm... better stay in the air' he thought, then said, "Ok, why in the name of Fatalis does my skin feel so... weird?" Just then, he caught sight of himself in a puddle, and saw himself. He looked like a Skywing! His wings still had the same bulky wingbones that fired bolts of energy, and he still was armoured, but he still had the overall build and looks of a rather shiny Skywing. He wheeled around and began flying back to his home, but as he soared, there was a flash, and a bolt of elecricity hit him, and he plummeted toward the ground. he barely managed to pull himself into a cave before he blacked out.
When the war has lasted twenty years ...
the dragonets will come.
When the land is soaked in blood and tears ...
the dragonets will come.
Find the Seawing egg of deepest blue,
Wings of Night shall come to you.
the largest egg in mountain high,
will give to you the wings of sky.
For wings of earth, search through the mud
for an egg the color of dragon blood.
And hidden alone from rival queens,
the SandWing egg awaits unseen.
Of three queens who blister and blaze and burn,
two shall die and one shall learn
if she bows to a fate that is stronger and higher,
she'll have the power of wings of fire.
Five eggs to hatch on the brightest night,
five dragons born to end the fight.
Darkness will rise to bring the light.
The dragonets are coming ...
