All week long I was trying to talk Kira out of going to the concert. She wasn't letting up though, especially after she found out that Scott was in the band. I just gave up by the time I went sleep on Thursday. The next morning I woke up pretty early. I quickly got up and got ready. When I finished putting on my favorite skinny jeans and my beautiful oversized black hoodie, I put on the pair of converse that I had owned forever. I loved these shoes so much, that I wore them daily and it showed. They were on the verge of falling apart. I stood and looked in the mirror.
I smiled at my reflection as I pulled my messy waves up into a bun on the top of my head. I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen to be greeted by my mother. "Morning, Sweetie." She said.
"Hey, Mom....I know that you're going out of town today but, is it okay if Kira and I go shopping after school today?" I smiled at her nervously, pouring myself a glass of orange juice.
"Is Kira staying here tonight?" I nodded. "Fine, you girls can go shopping, but you have to come straight back here and stay in tonight. I don't want you guys running around without me being here and I'm sure Kira's parents would feel the same way."
I knew she wouldn't let me go to the concert even though she didn't even know we were planning on going. I just nodded.

"My mom wants us to just stay at the house tonight." I said as I pulled into a parking spot at the mall. Kira gave a dirty look. "What?" I asked.
"My parents want us to stay in too, but we are going to that concert. I mean come on, its not like we're going to the other side of town. We are going to the house next door." I pouted as we got out of the car. She frowned when she saw my expression. "Come on, Lyds, live a little. Now what are you wanting to wear tonight?"
I motioned towards my current outfit, as we entered the mall. A horrified expression suddenly took over her face. "Oh no your not." She said, pulling me into the closest store.

We ended up buying about ten outfits a piece. None of the clothing that I bought was anything I would wear. It all consisted of dresses or skirts that all ended at about mid thigh. The only reason I bought it was because Kira talked me into it.
She stood by my mirror trying to decide on an outfit, while I just stared at my bags in horror. Kira noticed my expression and laughed. "Why are you so scared? You looked great in all of these." She said going through one of the bags. "Here wear this one."
She held up a nude skater dress that was covered in floral print. It was a pretty dress but it was one of the shortest. "That one barely covers my ass." I said standing up and taking it from her.
"So, don't bend down." She laughed, throwing some tan ankle boots at me. I had to admit my favorite thing about to day was all of the boots I bought. The pair I held now had wedged heels and were gorgeous.
I quickly changed into the outfit. When I turned around, I saw Kira had done the same. She wore black leggings, cut off blue jean shorts, a graphic T-shirt, and red hightop converse. I hate her for making me wear this, when she got to wear that, I thought to myself as she made me sit at my vanity.
Kira began curling my long strawberry blonde hair with a wand. Next up was makeup. I wasn't much of a makeup kind of girl. I mean, I wore it, but only on special occasions. Kira seemed to think that tonight was one of those occasions.
I may not have worn makeup that much but I sure as hell knew how to apply it. Honestly YouTube was my best friend when it came to makeup, but no one needs to know that. After I finished applying my makeup I stood, admiring my reflection in the floor length mirror, hanging on my bathroom door. I never considered myself gorgeous, but I never considered myself ugly either. I just always considered myself average. Looking at myself in the mirror, I felt anything but average.
For once in my life I looked fierce and therefore I hated Kira a little less. I still thought it was kind ridiculous wearing this outfit to a rock concert, but I went with it.

By the time that Kira and I started to head over, the block had already filled up with cars. When we finally made it into the house, I realized the whole school had been invited. I felt like I was gonna throw up, instead I just stayed close to Kira. We stood there awkwardly for a few minutes until we were greeted by Scott.
"Hey you guys made it!" He shouted over the crowd.
"Why wouldn't we?" Kira was trying way too hard to be flirty. Scott just blushed and shrugged. He grabbed Kira's hand pulling him after her. I just held onto her shirt
"Come on, you ladies get front row access." He said before stopping to smirk at us. "Maybe even backstage access." He winked at Kira and she giggled. I just rolled my eyes at them.
He guided us through the crowd until we were in front of a makeshift stage in their backyard. He whispered something in. Kira's before walking away. I felt overly uncomfortable being around this many people and way to exposed in this dress. Just as I was about to tell Kira I wanted to go back home, someone tapped me on the shoulder.
When I turned around I had to do a double take. I just couldn't believe it. Jackson Whittemore, the king of Beacon Hills High, stood in front of me smirking. "What's your name?" He said.
"Uh... I- uh M-My name is Lydia Martin." I couldn't believe he was talking to me. He never talks to me.
"Do you go to Beacon Hills High School? " I nodded. "You sure? I don't think I've seen you before."
That made me scowl."Jackson, I sit beside you in Pre-Cal and we've been in the same home room since we middle school." He just shook his head laughing.
"Whatever you say, Lydia. See you later." He winked at me and smirked, causing my heart to flutter. He walked away and I turned around to see Kira with a shocked expression on her face.
"I told you that dress would get you attention. Good attention." I stood a little taller as she said it. God, I loved feeling this powerful. Before my ego could get the best of me, a McGeiver style spotlight went to the stage.
A pretty girl, with dark skin and a neck tattoo took her place behind the drums. Next, Scott and another male joined her on the stage. Scott stood with an electric guitar in his hand and the other guy had a bass. He was tall, with dark hair, a beard, sleeves and green eyes that seemed softer than the rest of his appearance.
Stiles took his place in the front of the stage. I had to admit, he looked fucking sexy. He wore black skinny jeans, combat boots, a Metallica T-shirt, and a Leather vest. He had an electric guitar in his hands and a smirk on his lips.
"How's everybody doing tonight?" He said into the microphone. When people started cheering, his smirk turned into a full fledged smile. "That's good." He laughed. "Well we hope that you guys are ready for some music." Cheering filled the backyard again.
"Alright! We are Fighting for Fenrir and boy do we got a show for you tonight." His eyes met mine as he said the last words and my heart stopped.
