Devy Dev: Yes Sir we're back again with another interview & a new era is upon us all as this is the "The 24/7 Era" and today first episode we introduce our new guest in today house my brother Mr.Dom Palm.
Dom: Yoooo whats up bro, so blessed to be here rn doing my first interview, and it being with someone who I call my brother!
Devy Dev: I'm glad you can be here man look at you growing up in front of my eyes I'm proud of you man!
Dom: Thanks man I really appreciate you saying that! I really am haha these past 2 years have been nothing but growth and healing and I'd do it all over again!
Devy Dev: First & foremost before we get into anything today I always want to discuss how's your mental and physical health doing so far and everything?
Dom: Right now I'm kinda in what people would call hermit mode. I'm basically just focusing on my music, my mental and physical health and just overall bettering myself. Focusing on things that keep me at my highest self.
Devy Dev: That's real interesting to here let us switch gears for a minute and talk about the origin of Dom Palm, how did that name become what it is today?
Dom: Originally I went by DC which are my initials. But after a quick rebrand that I went through from 2021-2022 I became Dom Palm.
Dom: Funny enough the name was given to me from a Wu-Tang Clan name generator like Childish Gambino lol. At first it spinned MC Dom and I didn't like it then the next one was Dom Palm and the rest was history.
Devy Dev: During the come up with your name and me meeting you I had a chance to hear the introduction of you with "March 24th" and now seeing where you are now with "Define The Emotion" & "Heaven Is A Place On Earth", has those three songs help you discover your sound now?
Dom: I thought that's what I was doing when making those songs, finding my sound but I think I found it from the beginning "March 24th" to "Define the Emotion" to "Heaven Is A Place On Earth".
Dom: That sound being writing and making music from my heart, speaking about my life and experiences through it all, that's my sound.
Devy Dev: Interesting, do you think this new era and persona you're entering is a mix of all the sounds or a completely new chapter & new life since the next entry is titled "KILL DOM"?
Dom: I think I'm just shedding those negatives, flaws, and faults from my past. I'm still Dom Palm and Dominick but now I just let go of my old baggage that I've been carrying within, up until now.
Dom: Kill Dom can be anyone wanting to kill off their old identity and be someone new now, today, right now.
Devy Dev: With this new life you're entering can we expect & EP or album from down the road as well any future collabs with anyone you would love to work with?
Dom: I'm currently working on my Album and will release the last single before the Album titled "Go Shine".I think because I'm so focused on making the music I want to make I want to hold off on any collabs right now but in the future I'd like to collab with anyone as long as it's great music.
Devy Dev: Outside of those collaboration are we going to get any new songs on the Co-sign Coastline Volume 3 tape, or you just going to let us be in the dark until it's time for you to drop?
Dom: I'll see if I make that deadline but for sure my singles that weren't in the Volume 2 will be on there.
Devy Dev: So were definitely or maybe getting something for Volume 3 then in a surprise matter according to me and now you.
Dom: Yeah I knew lol I like surprises so I guess just stay tuned.
Devy Dev: Let's switch up the gears real quick and let me ask you some questions.
Devy Dev: The first question I have is, who is your biggest inspiration & why? What made them do what you do and love today as person and artist in this world.
Dom: I've mentioned her in my songs so I'll say J for short and those around me know who she is and how much she means to me. I've always been inspired by like artists you know rappers, singers, people in my field of work but she inspires me everyday to go harder and to make my dreams into a reality by being a great person and artist.
Dom: Her just being her is all she ever needs to do to inspire me to become better as a man and an artist. I've never met anyone with such a strong effect that her simple presence, voice, heartbeat, or thought of her is enough to keep that chip on my shoulder and go after it in life day in and day out and at the end of the day her and my family are the ones I'm doing it for besides myself of course.
Devy Dev: I love that answer so much she is extremely proud of you, the second question I would like to ask is, if you can have anyone here that's no longer here physical see how far you came how do you think they would feel if they saw what you accomplish today?
Dom: That's an easy pick my uncle Henry or Fatboy like I mentioned in March 24. First he would see my tattoos and already be proud without even knowing I make music.
Dom: He would like my music and what I've done with it so far he always liked conscious rap or just bars in general so I think he'll like my music. And I think him seeing me growing into a man day in and day out he would feel so proud because before his passing he had a very huge influence in raising me.
Devy Dev: Well that's fucking beautiful man I have two more questions for you before we conclude this maybe three,
Dom: Let's get it bro I'm ready!
Devy Dev: My first question is was there ever a "Plan B" if everything didn't go the way it's going now did you have another option or this was your do or die moment?
Dom: I can without a doubt say since I decided I wanted to do this in 2019 I never had a plan B and I never will. Like 50 said imma get rich or die tryin, and I ain't dying anytime soon.
Devy Dev: I love it you saw what you wanted and you went straight to it, my second question is do you and De'veon have anything in the works I noticed he played a big part in your rollouts anything we can see from you guys together?
Dom: I would say our relationship goes past music but we'll always share that same love for it which will take us far.
Dom: We're students of the game and are always working not against one another but to help each other. Dom: Whatever we do we'll always be big in our heads that's just how we are and I don't see that part of us changing.
Devy Dev:I love how you guys can co-exist in this game where everyone wants to be number one honestly that's all I have for you today congratulation on the released and thank you for coming & doing this with me.
