It was a beautiful morning in Magome, Japan, and Yasushi Shimizu, just a regular guy, was walking around town until he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. It was a quaint little new shop called "Oishikute Kawaii." It looked cozy and inviting. He looked more at the shop and saw an open sign, trying to shine through the bright sun. He smiled to himself and then poked his head inside the door. He looked around but when he looked in front of him, a woman with long, silky black hair was smiling at him warmly.

She greeted him with a kind and gentle "Hello. Just looking around?" She giggled to herself in delight. Yasushi, flustered and embarrassed, stood up straight and said "Oh! Sorry, I was just about to walk in." "Well, then let me guide you to your seat! Do you prefer a chair or a booth?" she asked Yasushi. "U-Uh. Booth." He felt a pain of regret after saying that thinking, "Booth? What am I talking about? I'm just one person. How stupid of me." She didn't mind and just sat Yasushi down.

"It's alright, we're not getting much people anyways." She handed him a menu, and then he walked away. Still embarrassed he buried his face in the menu as he looked for something to order. Meanwhile, the girl was watching Yasushi from behind the counter with loving eyes. It truly was love at first sight... At least for her. Yasushi's eyes landed on the latte and the waffles.

Yasushi was about to put his hand up, indicating that he was ready to order when she zoomed over at the slightest chance that he was ready to order. She smiled and said sweetly, "Ready to order?" He smiled nervously at her eagerness and said, "Yeah. I'll have a latte and American waffles." She quickly wrote down his order in her notes and some other things too. "The kind thing to do would be to ask your name right?" he asks her and giggles to himself. "My name is Shimizu. And your name is?" She giggles and says "Most call me Aiyama but you can call me Katsumi."

Yasushi nervously said "Oh? Is that your first name? It's very pretty." She nodded and smiled. "O-Oh. Then you can call me Yasushi." Katsumi slightly mad thought, "I thought he trusted me. He didn't originally give me his first name?" "Is everything alright, miss?" The sound of Yasushi's voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

She quickly collected herself and said with a big, slightly disturbing smile "Yes. Everything's fine, Yasushi. Now let me go get that for you." Yasushi just shrugs it off as Katsumi walks over to the back. Not too long later Katsumi walks back to Yasushi's table and sets his order on the table. He thanks her and as she is about to walk back over to the counter another customer calls for her. She is visibly annoyed which confuses Yasushi because of how eager and kind she was with him but when she notices that he's looking at her she smiles and walks over to the customer. A while later Yasushi finishes drinking his latte but when he places his cup down Katsumi is standing there, not moving a muscle.

"Done with your drink?" she asked so sweetly that Yasushi didn't even care that she appeared out of nowhere. "Yeah. That was delicious! Thank you very much." He smiles warmly and gets up from the booth. He waves as he leaves the café. "Thank you! Come again!" The moment she heard the bell ring, memories of Yasushi came flooding in. Though they had only known each other for an hour it felt like they had known each other for years.

Yasushi's apartment was about a mile away from the café so it took a while for him to get him but when he did he saw a familiar face talking to the manager. It was... Katsumi from the café? Yasushi was confused and even a little weary but he walked up to Katsumi and said, "Uh... Katsumi? What are you doing here... With that box in your hands." "Oh. I'm moving in here! It's quite small and cozy here compared to the big house I used to live in so I thought I'd give it a try." Who would trade a house for an apartment? "O-Oh. That's weird because I live here." He said nervously but still trying to be friendly.

"Woah! Really? Cool, what a coincidence heheh." Katsumi says with joy. Yasushi giggles along with her to not seem nervous. After a quick chat, Yasushi walks back to his apartment to collect himself. After he closes the door he sits on the floor and says to himself "What is up with her? What's WRONG with me? I shouldn't be so rude... I-It must just be a coincidence. I should just get up and continue with my day." As he's about to get up he is greeted by a friendly face. His dog Botaru- a small Japanese Spitz- starts licking his face alleviating all of his stress.
