season 1, episode 1 - love fest (pt. 2)!
NIGHT HAD QUICKLY FALLEN AS KIARA made her signature popcorn. Mia, Olivia, and Alan were talking amongst themselves on the couch. And where were Sam and Alex, you may ask? Well, the two were sent to grab some drinks. They were currently at the supermarket and Sam was pushing a cart while Alex got some of the groceries. "So... what movie do you think we're gonna watch tonight?" Alex asked as he grabbed a pack of Fanta. "Maybe some horror movies? I personally like them."
"I don't really like them. They're a bit too scary for me."
"Scream is more of a murder mystery movie than a horror film. I think you should be fine."
"The deaths are brutal. I don't want to throw up because of that." Alex stated, placing the box of Fantas in the cart. "What other drinks should we get?"
"Um... Coca - Cola?" Alex noticed the said drink was on the shelf, trying to reach them. "Do you need some help?" Sam teased, making Alex roll his eyes. "No, I'm fine. Plus, I'm only two inches shorter than you, Sam. Don't get too cocky."
"Whatever you say, sunshine." Alex stopped trying to get the Coca - Cola, slowly looking at Sam. "What did you just call me?"
"Sunshine. You're literally a human version of sunshine."
"I am not."
"Really? You literally spoke to me the first time we met."
"Kiara introduced me to you. Plus, I thought it would be nice to get to know you."
"That just proves my point. I'm gonna start calling you sunshine now."
"Well, I'll just have to call you grumpy."
"Seriously? That's the best you could come up with?"
"You're literally the grumpiest person I've ever known. I've never seen you smile before." Sam rolled his eyes, grabbing a pack of Coca - Colas. "That's not true! I've smiled before."
"Really? When?"
"Well, there was this- you- you know what? Let's just go pay for the drinks."
"I win."
"In your dreams, Alex."
THE TWO HAD FINALLY GOTTEN BACK TO KIARA'S house as they opened the boxes of sodas. Sharing some popcorn and sitting on the couch, the rest of the group was ready to watch some horror films. Alex continuously covered his eyes, too afraid to see the death scenes. Sam, on the other hand, wasn't bothered by them at all. He liked watching slasher films, often liking the way the killers are revealed. It was suspenseful but fun to guess who it was. "How can you like these movies? The killer just cut that guy up with a chainsaw!"
"Just keep covering your eyes. I just like guessing who the killer is."
"You clearly haven't watched Criminal Minds."
"I have actually."
"Have you watched a romcom then?"
"No, not really. I don't really like those kinds of movies." Alex let out a dramatic gasp, causing Sam to roll his eyes. "You don't like romcoms? How? Those are the best types of movies ever!" Sam shrugged as Alex felt some butterflies in his stomach. "They just sell fabricated lies about love. Like a meet cute would ever happen in real life?"
"It can happen, Sam. It just happens unexpectedly sometimes."
"Really? Has it happened to you before?"
"Not really. Maybe?"
"See? I win."
"No, you don't! I'm telling you, Sam. Meet cutes do happen."
"Whatever you say, Alex. Whatever you say." As the next few films played, Alex ended up falling asleep, resting his head on Sam's shoulder. Sam felt his heart beating rapidly from the sudden contact, not knowing why. "He's right behind-"
"Shh! Alex is trying to sleep." Sam whispered, causing Alan to stop talking.
