I just ran, I ran as fast as I possibly could, panic coursed through my veins. I was in a total state of fight or flight, bag in hand I ran to the only place I knew I would be safe in this area, Kings Cross Station, which just so happens to be my destination before I was attacked.
All I could hear was the wind slicing the air as I ran, my feet pounding on the ground, I could taste blood in my mouth. The beeping of cars rung in my ears but I didn't stop running, I couldn't stop running, running from what you may ask...
I have no idea.
I ran for what felt like an hour, my throat dry and my muscles aching, I had finally found peace in the sound of a train horn. I didn't know if my attacker was still following but I didn't dare turn around to check, I just kept running till I reached the entrance to the station. I breathed heavily, smelling the smoke from the steam engine trains, I was so grateful to be here even though it may seem silly to others, this was like fucking heaven for me right now.
Crowds of people waiting to board trains, the hustle and bustle was the perfect way to escape an attacker, nobody would dare come after me again, too many witnesses. I grasped my bag in my right hand and walked ahead into the busy station, to go find it, platform nine and three quarters. I have attended Bauxbatons for my first to years of wizarding education, but my mother decided it would be best if I moved here, and I trust my mother with my life.
I kept walking, bumping into people and struggling to get past big groups but I had finally made it, I was in between platforms nine and ten, when suddenly someone bumped into me.
"Sorry!" Came a voice from behind me.
I turned around and was met with a tall boy with fiery red hair and a freckled face, he looked kind.
We just analysed eachother for a few seconds when we were interrupted.
"Cmon Fred we are going to be late!" Said a boy who looked identical to the boy I had just met.
"Oh and who's this lovely lady." Fred's twin eyed me up a down. "I actually don't know, what I your name darling?" Said Fred, "Oh yes of course, I'm Y/n, Y/n Lestrange, nice to meet you Fred and..." I paused looking at the other boy. "The names George Weasley, pleasure meeting you gorgeous." He smirked at me, this look sent a shiver down my spine and I was about to answer when I was interrupted my a train horn.
"Oh shit, the train leaves in two minutes, I assume you're off to Hogwarts too?" I question, eyeing their robes and their red an gold ties.
My mother had warned me about Gryffindors, said they were "not to be trusted" so I choose to trust no one, as to not get disappointed.
The boys both nodded and offered me to go through the barrier first and I ran forward into the wall and disappeared to the other side, followed shortly by Fred and George. I admired the crimson colour of the Hogwarts express as I got on and found an empty compartment after passing many compartments already full with friends laughing and waving goodbye to loved ones.
I sat down and finally relaxed after my very eventful morning. This year was going to be better, I just know it.
