When you are younger
you look up to the adults around you.
Admiration floods your eyes
As you think
"I can't wait to be older i'll be just
As cool as them"Now I am a teenager
I'm stressed about exams
And constantly worried about:
My future,
My appearance and
What people think of me.
We look up to models
Our insecurities peaking
through and think
"I wish I was as pretty as them"Soon i'll be an adult
I'll wonder why i wasted time
On silly things such as makeup
And parties.
I'll constantly be working
Trying to pay the bills and
I'll envy the children thinking
"I wish I could be so carefree"Eventually, I'll be elderly.
I'll have experienced life and be
Ready to depart.
I'll be tiredly energetic.
Joyously grieved.
I'll love, lose and grieve.
My friends and family will be waiting
Until the day I return to them as I look at
The ones I have left and think
"Enjoy your life and don't let anyone
Hold you back"By Lizzie

The last two stanzas I haven't actually experienced yet and I don't know if that is genuinely how it will be like.
