"Your brother offered me money to spy on you," Maya announced as she trudged up to the Slytherin sitting on the grass, his back against a tree.

Maya had hunted Tom down, finding him reading in the courtyard.

"Did you take it?" Tom questioned, not glancing up from his book, even as the Hufflepuff sat beside him.

"Yes - here," Maya answered, handing him the pouch.

Tom weighed the pouch in his free hand before putting it away in his bag. Maya had no issues with it since he usually bought her whatever she asked.

He went back to reading, and Maya, bored, leaned against his side, trying to get comfy.

Without hesitating, Tom moved his arm, letting her rest her head upon his chest as he wrapped his arm around her.

"Read to me?" She asked, taking full advantage of being the only one Tom could stand.

"From the beginning?" He asked.

"No, it's okay."

Tom frowned, "But you wouldn't understand anything."

"It's fine. I just wanna listen to your voice. I like your voice," Maya answered honestly, bluntly.

"Oh."

Maya looked up at him and giggled at the surprised expression on the Slytherin's face.

The Hufflepuff leaned up and kissed his cheek before laying her head back against the Slytherin's chest, missing the slight blush overtaking his cheeks.

Tom cleared his throat, pulling himself together to start reading out loud.

"Holy shit, I'm gay," Maya said as she and Tom stood at the entrance of their class.

Tom frowned, "What are you talking about?" He had an inkling of what Maya went, but he wanted to be wrong. He did not want Maya falling for anyone else - Maya was his.

"Because everyone in this class is attractive. I forget how attractive people can be," Maya whispered, glancing at Tom.

Tom did what he thought was best in this situation; he covered Maya's eyes and dragged her out of the class.

"Tom, I need to go back to class! I can't just ditch!" Maya exclaimed as Tom stopped in the corner of the hallway, ignoring all the other students rushing to class.

Tom huffed in response, pursing his lips before looking Maya dead in the eyes, "You're my Hufflepuff. No one else's. I'm not one to share, you know that."

Maya blinked, not expecting this reaction at all. Was he confessing?? "I-I'm yours?"

"Yeah, and you aren't allowed to look at others, and you're especially not allowed to fall for them," Tom declared with a huff, crossing his arms over his chest.

Maya giggled, "I like you too, Tom. I won't fall for anyone except you."

"You better only like me."

Maya burst out laughing, leaning against the sulking Slytherin for support. She found it adorable how he was sulking and he didn't even realize it.

"Tom. Toooom. Listen to meeee," Maya whined.

"What?" was the distracted reply she got from him.

The two of them were at a park in the muggle world, with Maya laying upon a picnic blanket, and Tom sitting, reading a book. Maya had been reading as well, but her brain decided reading was not it.

"I need your kiss."

Tom glanced at her, "Why?"

"Because! I'm on critical low levels of Slytherin affections! I could die from Slytherin-deficiency!" Maya explained dramatically, staring up at the Slytherin.

A slight smirk appeared across Tom's lips, "Then die."

Maya gasped, then pouted, before she sat up, "Fine then! I'll have to go get another Slytherin to get affection from-" Before she could even finish that sentence, Tom had yanked the Hufflepuff onto his lap. Maya yelped, shifting on his lap to get comfortable, but was stopped as Tom tilted her head to look at him.

"Don't you dare," was all he said before smashing their lips together - Maya smiled against his lips, which earned her a painful nip on her bottom lip. She whimpered until Tom ran his tongue over her bottom lip to soothe her.

Though tempted to go further, they were still in public and the Hufflepuff had an affinity of being shy when kisses turned into more, so Tom pulled away.

Maya smiled and nudged his jaw with her nose. "Hey, do you actually love me?" She asked softly.

With no hesitation, Tom answered, "Yes."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Are you really sure-" She was once again cut off by Tom kissing her - to hell with being shy in public.

Later, when both had their fill of each other's lips, they found themselves relaxing for a little bit. Tom was leaning against the tree again, Maya was in between his legs with her back against Tom's front. Tom was hugging her close, letting the Hufflepuff play with his fingers, as the two of them just stared out at the slightly empty park, enjoying the weather.
