Peter wakes up from his not so good night sleep.

Getting up straight from his bed, he rubbed his eyes and felt sore. His face hurt. He walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror.

Red eyes looked back at him. He panicked. Peter couldn't go to school with his eyes all red and puffy. His friends would freak out and worry about him. He ran his fingers through his hair. Peter had barely gotten up for the day and he was already tired. He wanted to run right back to his bed and bury himself under the polyester blanket Miss Celia provided him with.

But, he straightened himself up and got ready for the day anyway.

A couple of days passed by and it felt like he was just standing still and letting everything come and go before his eyes. All he could do is watch and cry.

Everything. He missed how everything used to be back then. Everything changed. It seemed like when May died, so did his happiness.

And no matter how hard he tried to truly be happy it was impossible because everything he was doing was wrong and he was punished for it. He was sick of it. He needed a place where he could relax. Not the group home, he needed an actual place he could call home.

These couple of days he has been avoiding MJ and Ned. Each time they had a conversation it was short. Most of the times he kind of greeted them with 'goodbye'.

He felt awful for doing it but he couldn't help it.

If he actually did try to talk with them he would fall apart in front of them and he absolutely did not want that at all.

So he kept his distance.

And it was hurting him in the process.

A day ago he was pulled out of class by his home room teacher and handed him an envelope with his name on it. On the envelope it said for Peter Parker and his guardian.

He didn't consider Miss Celia as his guardian. May was his guardian. He didn't want to pass that title up to a woman like Miss Celia. So he didn't open the envelope. But he wanted to so badly.

If the envelope was good news he would have wanted May to see the news but she wasn't here. So he was reluctant to open it. He sat on the edge of the bed as he held the envelope.

He was going to open it.

Peters eyes widened as he read the letter. It wasn't just any letter. It was an acceptance letter.

An acceptance letter for Stark Industries!

"I actually got accepted.." Peter said quietly to himself. He didn't believe it.

When he filled out his application form he was very.. expressive about his experiences and he wrote very little about what he can actually do, so it shocked him to see that he was accepted.

He felt a little better about himself. Maybe there was something that Mr. Stark was able to see in him that he wasn't.

On the letter it instructed Peter to start tomorrow. He felt a little nervous about it. He wasn't so sure if he was expecting to go this far.

If he was going to be honest he only filled the form out because Ned convinced him to.

But now he actually had to go through with it.
