The next morning I woke up relatively early. Breakfast was just starting as I made my way into the hall, and not many people were up. I did notice, however, that Malfoy and Co were trotting towards the Slytherin table, away from the Gryffindor's. I frowned as I saw my sister sitting there, looking mildly surprised. I turn instead from the direction I was heading, which was the Slytherin table, and instead headed Hermione's way.

I sat down next to her and raised a suggestive brow, waiting for her to explain.

"Oh! Hey Hera, what is it?" She said rather dumbly, but I knew it was an act. Hermione's way too smart to not know what I mean.

"Uh, why was Draco, Thing one and Thing two over here?" I cross my arms, staring at her expectantly.

"Oh- they were over here? I didn't realize..." she murmured before sighing. "They came over here to wish me good luck. They said that because I'm a stupid, beaver-toothed Mudblood that I'm going to need it." She looked down at her hands, fidgeting silently. Anger corrupted my senses. I was going to kill that gray eyed bastard. I voiced my thoughts aloud, clenching my fists together as I stood up abruptly.

"I'm going to kill that gray eyed bastard. It will do him good to have a bloody nose, it will take everyone's eyes off that ugly gelled hair." I spat. Hermione quickly yanked on my arm before I could show that boy what happens when he messes with my sister. He won't be the Boy Who Lived, oh, no, no, no. He will be the Boy who Died. Actually a better title would be, The Pureblood Who was Murdered By a 'Mudblood'. When I tried to pull away again, she yanked me back again. That time hurt.

"Hey! That hurt!" I hissed, slapping her hand with my other hand that wasn't engaged by her hands.

"You can't just go and beat up your housemate!" She hissed. What was with all the hissing? I knew I was a snake, but she was a lion, hypothetically speaking. "That's just unlogical, and reckless." I let out a small sigh. I knew she was right, but that doesn't mean I wish she weren't. I noticed the hall starting to fill up, and suddenly a round-faced boy with dirty blonde hair sat across from us, holding on tightly to a toad.

"Neville!" I greeted, smiling brightly at him.

"Oh, hey Hera." He murmured, looking up at me shyly.

"Neville," Hermione greeted with a nod. After chit chatting with the two for a bit, I had two go back to my table to gather my schedule.

As I sat down, Professor Snape just laid down my schedule.
