"It's been forty eight hours and still no trace of them." My jaw clenched at the news. Twenty five people; sent on a mission to retrieve goods and contraband that had gone missing in the warehouse just for twenty two of which to be discovered as dead. Meanwhile the other three magically fallen from face of the earth.

"There was too much evidence." I say going over the documents of the robbery. It was Antonio, there was more than enough evidence left behind to prove so, but why? Antonio was upcoming, he was the first and only threat to us and the Italian Mafia, somebody so intelligent with a group so powerful hadn't come into rank from leaving evidence behind.

"He wanted us to send people," Xavier finishes my thoughts. "It was a trap... but why?" They hadn't made a move in months and weren't suspected to anytime soon. It was like a game, there were rounds and everyone had a turn to attack, but Killian and I had held back from retaliating to plan for more important ventures.

"They just wanted to kill our people clearly. Power lies within number." Someone calls out. What a dumb reason, I place the tip of my pointer finger on my mouth to stop myself from talking out of ass.

"Maybe it wasn't Antonio, surely the Spanish Mafia has better things to do than plan traps," the cameras suggest otherwise prick. My jaw clenches. Shut it Emilio. I press my lips shut trying not to deny any one of ideas as I was for the first time at a loss of any, but my head gets the best of me shaking continuously.

"Dismissed." Everyone's shocked eyes hit mine but not ten seconds go by before Xavier, Jackson and I are the only three remaining in the room. "Fuck." I say the moment the door closes.

"What do you think it is?" Jackson asks me.

I don't respond, instead I stare at the ceiling trying to dish out possibilities. "He's a smart man, who knows what he could be up to." Xavier comments. "I for one am not going to wait around discussing options when we can get out there."

"And do what? Scope dry land, we have no lead." I scoff.

"So what do you suggest we do boss."

"I don't know..."

"Sir you've been here all day, I know you've said no every other time but is there anything I can grab you?" Nancy knocks on the half open door of my office and takes a nervous step inside. I shake my head tossing a pencil across my desk and leaning back into the chair.

"No," I sigh. "I was actually leaving." My back packed as I stand for the first time in hours. While putting on my coat I look at all the open files on my desk with annoyance.

"Did you make any progress?" Nancy asks me when I start stacking them. I shake my head as a reply hating the admittance of my cluelessness and the fact that I was putting it away for a night.

"File them and lock up." I say placing the stack on Nancy's open palm. She nods frantically and scurries towards her desk a few feet away from the door.

"Any plans for tonight?"

"I am picking up Davina." I say locking my office door. She smiles while pushing up her glasses along the bridge of her nose.

"Well don't let me keep you sir," she giggles to herself which only makes me smile uncontrollably.

"Will do." I start to walk away but slightly pause when Nancy calls out for me to have a good night. I nod ignoring if she could see it or not and continue my walk towards the elevator.

My knee twitches while I wait for the silver doors to open. Along with the nerves of not having a set out plan to save my men, the thought of what Davina could be doing at the bar during this time racked my brain. God, even when my men were getting picked off I still couldn't help but think about Davina.
