Well...here it goes.
For the past 3 and a half months of my life I have been pretending to be my twin brother.

Aden is gently shaken awake by a soft and delicate hand, with a loud yawn and big stretch he looked around at his surroundings
He was still laying down on the Dawson's couch, surrounded by all of their tan and white colored decor, the calming smell of sandalwood drifting through the air from the freshly lit candle.
Aden couldn't deny that that was the best sleep he's had in a very long time, which was surprised due to the fact it was on a couch that was most definitely older than he was.
Aden moves his sleep filled eyes around the room and sees Jessie standing above him trying to get him to stay awake.
"How long was I out for?" Said the fake Keegan, with one final stretch he sits in an upright position and can't help but admire Jessie
Dressed in more comfortable appearing clothes than before her black leggings and cropped cream sweater complemented her long chestnut hair and mocha skin in a way that made Aden's stomach ache.
"A couple hours." Jessie replied, blankly "my mom finished making your food a while ago, she wrapped it up so you can take it with you when you go back to your dorm."
"Oh yea, tell her I said thank you." Aden replied, hoping that would have been his brother's response.
Probably not.
Jessie just rolls her eyes and that and begins to walk to the kitchen, Aden fallows her silently treading across the creaky floorboards. He had glanced at his phone a minute ago and took notice it was almost midnight.
"I hope Kiran isn't too worried.." he thought to himself but by taking a quick look at his phone and not seeing any missed messages he assumed Kiran was at a party and couldn't care less about his whereabouts
Aden watches as Jessie pulls the food out of their stainless steel fridge and go to hand him the package of food.
"Listen Keegan...this is the last time I want to see you." Jessie bluntly told.
Aden swallowed the lump in this throat, he knew what was coming but he played along.
"Like...at your house?" He quietly asked
"No Keegan you know what I mean! I don't want to see you, hear from you, or even think about you again." Jessie couldn't help but exclaim the first bit, but quickly quieted herself after remembering about her sleeping family members.
"I've been thinking about this all night, I know you apologized but this is the last straw Keegan. I'm done forgiving."
"I deserve better, I've forgiven you for so many things because you promised to change and you haven't! You never will. I realize that now." Jessie ranted on "we're done."
This was Aden's way out.
His way out of everything.
He did what his twin asked of him so there is no reason to worry about..it..getting out and Jessie was the one ending it so it's not Aden's fault.
So obviously, she didn't break up with "Keegan" otherwise you wouldn't be telling me all this but like...why?
Why what?
You know, why convince her to stay when you know Keegan would come back and treat her horribly?

Fine you're right, I didn't want her to break up with Keegan because I'm selfish ok?! That was the first time in years I've spoken to her or seen her family and I couldn't...I couldn't let go.
Oh...yea that's-that's totally what I was gonna say.
I think my exact thoughts were that Keegan might not ever come back, he could have an accident or just decide to stay there with his side chick and Jessie would be safe and happy with me.
If that's not insanity at its finest I don't know what is Aden! *sigh* so let me get this straight, you were just going to be happy pretending to be your twin brother for the rest of your life??
