Chapter 57: Tenants meeting

Within a giant church that exists at the center of a certain Holy City, there's a bedroom meant for nobility or the likes that is currently occupied by three people in particular.

"So... This is the key that you took while you were coming to this world, Satoru-san?"

Teshima Momoe ponders to herself as she looks at the leafless tree on the side of the tag connecting to a key before flipping it and sees the number two on its other side. As for the key itself, it's not particularly interesting in any way, but it causes the entire thing to look more mysterious for some reason.

"Yes, Momoe Senpai. I didn't know what it was at first, but I feel like I should get it for some reason."

Close by, Kai Satoru is currently sitting on the chair in the bedroom, pondering the beauty of the ceiling, furniture, and the outside as he inwardly wants to get out of there as quickly as possible.

'Please, I'm a guy here Momoe Senpai. I can't expect myself to not feel anything with how you and Amaya Chan are dressing right now.'

Tomoe is currently wearing a black nightgown that reaches down to her knees. It's not tight enough to completely show off her 'features' under the dress, but it is still enough to at least give a clear picture of it when the wind blows toward her directly.

"It looks pretty simple, Satoru-Kun. I wonder why you felt that way?"

Sugiyama Amaya is on the opposite side of Momoe, also wearing a white nightgown that is similar to her big sister as she looks at the key curiously. But it's clear that she's not as focused on the key as much as she seems, as she sometimes glances at Momoe's outlined 'features' and her own non-outlined 'features' like she's envious of them.

Tomoe ignores her sister's probing due to being used to it and gives the key back to Satoru. Subsequently, the number on the tag starts to glow white, as if it is reacting to being held onto by its true owner.

"Since your <Hero's Eyes> Skill told you that this key is not dangerous, maybe we can see what it does right now?"

Satoru nods to Momoe as he gets up and looks at the key in his hand, his eyes focused on the unlit tree that's on the tag.

<Hero's Eyes> is one of five Skills that Satoru found himself having, giving him the ability to look at the description of the target as long as he isn't much weaker than them. It's this Skill that told him about what the key is exactly, along with how to use it.

'[Void Key], a key that can be used on any door to reach a specific place. It doesn't say what that place is exactly, but it seems to be safe for me and anyone else that enters the place.'

Satoru found it concerning that he subconsciously puts a lot of trust in a key that he found floating in literal nowhere, but he feels like this feeling is rightfully placed, so he just has to trust his gut feeling for now.

Walking to the door of the bedroom, Satoru looks at the two sisters for a moment before he looks back, making sure that he is properly holding back his male instinct from coming out.

"I- I'll use it now!"

"Got it." "Sure!"

Getting the confirmation from the two, Satoru puts the key into the lock, which is clearly not a match for the key itself. But instead of the key entering the lock, it instead seems to disappear in front of the lock without touching it.

Satoru is a bit surprised about it, and so are the sisters behind him. But they all stay quiet as he continues to push the key forward until most of it disappears, leaving just enough for him to hold onto it.
