Ryder's back

Second date?

"Leila why do you look gross?" Alex asked, alex was my closest guy friend. "Oh wow thanks but I am" I coughed.

"Why do I have to be sick of all times?" I asked, "why you got to not go to school" he said. "That's the upside" I shrugged, "I have to go see mel" I said.

"Well just don't kiss her because she might be sick" he said, "well then sucks for her" I joked.

"This is a first time I've seen you without makeup" he said amazed, "i know it's scary" I rolled my eyes. "No you look great" he smiled, "aw thanks" I replied hugging him.

"Don't kiss me though I don't want to be sick" he grinned, "hey guys would die to kiss me" I replied. "Yeah that will happen if they do" he joked, "oh you" I scoffed.

Alex drove me to their house since he thought I was too sick. "Call me if you want to be picked up" he said, "I might stay over don't know" I replied.

I knocked on the door and Mel opened it, "no! You're not supposed to be dressed like that" she said sadly...that's odd?

"Um...why?" I asked as I walked in, "oh...i thought you would wear something nice like usual" she smiled. "I'm sorta sick so don't kiss me" I rolled my eyes, "I don't plan to" she said but then mumbled something.

Mel pov.
"I don't plan to....ryder did" I said, "what?" She asked. "Oh nothing let's go into the kitchen" I smiled, how is my plan failing?

Leila pov.
I walked in seeing Ryder standing there with roses and a suit, There were twinkly lights around the table. "what's this?" I asked, "a second date" he smiled.

"Oh Ryder you're sweet" I said as I placed my books down on the table, "I'm now going to impress you with dinner and music" he said as he went and pressed on his iPhone speakers. The sound of Really bad music filled the room, "sorry about that " he said changing it into something better

"I want to know everything about you" Ryder said as he came closer to me, "Ryder" I sighed. "Please I actually like you" he said as he held my hand, I looked up at his brown eyes.

"I'm sorry...i cant" I said as I walked out.

Ryder pov.
"Why did Leila just walk out looking depressed?" Lennox asked then seeing the kitchen she glared.

"Why Ryder?" She asked, "I like her" I bit my lip. "Here's the thing Ryder, she doesn't want what you are looking for" she said.

"I just want to show her that I actually care about her and I'm not going to do any mistakes I did with Juliet and Stella" I said, "i see what's going on" Lennox said as she crossed her arms. "What?" I asked confused.

"Leila is basically your trial girl since you failed with Juliet and Stella" Lennox said, "what no!" I replied.

"Well you did mess up with them" aunt Mel said but quickly shut up when I glared at her.

"I like Leila and it's not because she's apparently a testing girl for me" I said as I stormed out of the room angrily.

I ran outside seeing Leila sitting on the bench staring at her phone.
