Adrien woke up slowly, stretching languidly as the morning light filtered through his curtains. His muscles flexed under his smooth, sun-kissed skin, and he ran a hand through his tousled blond hair, his eyes still half-closed. As he sat up, the sheet slipped down, revealing his toned torso. A sharp pain pierced his temples, and he winced, memories of the previous night flooding back. His mind replayed the moments with Ambar—their intense hungry kisses, her moans, and the way her eyes lit up when he saved her. The intensity of his feelings for her overwhelmed him, and he wondered what lines he might cross for her.
Adrien rubbed his temples, trying to shake off the headache as he got out of bed. He grabbed a glass of water from his bedside table, downing it in one gulp.
"Plagg," he called out, his voice still groggy.
Plagg emerged from his hiding spot, looking concerned. "Yeah, kid?"
Adrien paced his room, his steps quick and restless. "Last night with Ambar... It felt so intense. I don't understand why I feel this way about her. It's like she's all I can think about."
Plagg hovered in front of him, frowning. "It’s not normal for you to be this obsessed after just a few days. Something’s definitely up.”
Adrien nodded, running a hand through his hair again. "I need to figure this out. I can't let it consume me."
He quickly dressed, throwing on a black t-shirt and jeans, slipping into his sneakers. "Let's get to school. Maybe a normal day will help clear my head."
Plagg followed him as he grabbed his bag and headed out the door, determined to get a handle on his emotions.
Adrien rushed down the stairs, his mind still reeling from the previous night. The memory of what he had done was as clear as day, and the weight of it pressed heavily on his shoulders. As he stepped outside, the fresh morning air did little to calm his racing heart. He slipped into the car waiting for him, giving the driver a nod. The drive to school felt longer than usual, his mind replaying the violent encounter over and over.
He couldn't shake the image of the man who had attacked Ambar. The rage he felt, the way his vision had turned red... it was all too vivid. He had lost control, his instincts as Chat Noir overwhelming him completely. He knew what he had done was unforgivable, yet a part of him couldn't regret it. He had protected Ambar. He would do it again if necessary.
As he arrived at school, Adrien took a deep breath and stepped out of the car, heading straight for the entrance. Plagg stayed hidden, peeking out occasionally to keep an eye on him, clearly worried.
Students filled the halls, their chatter a dull buzz in Adrien’s ears. He made his way to his locker, quickly swapping out his books, when he spotted Ambar walking towards him. His heart raced, and he took another steadying breath.
“Morning, Adrien,” Ambar greeted with a bright smile.
“Morning,” Adrien replied, forcing a smile to match hers. “Ready for another day?”
Ambar nodded. “Yeah, though I could use some coffee first.”
Adrien chuckled, the sound easing some of his tension. “I know a great spot near here. Want to go?”
Ambar’s eyes lit up. “Sure, that sounds great!”
They walked together towards the cafeteria, Adrien struggling to keep his thoughts in check. As they entered, he glanced around, hoping for a moment of peace before classes began.
“Let’s grab some coffee and sit down,” Adrien suggested.
They ordered their drinks and found a quiet corner to sit. As they settled, Ambar looked at him curiously. “You seem a bit off today. Everything okay?”
