The Invader ((Rewrite))

Chapter One

Peace, Quiet, Dark...Empty. These are words often used to describe outer space as it is so large and so old and dangerous, though Earth finally able to expand across multiple planets and solar systems has many space ships out in search for materials on nearby neighboring moons and planets.


One ship in-particular would be making its journey through space and onto a nearby planet, holding passengers aboard to be scientists and doctors. Throughout this ship it was quiet and at rest as the people inside slept soundly, one cabin room housing a leading scientist slept peacefully until his room suddenly brightened and a voice come over the intercom.

"Good morning passengers, today is Tuesday-May 25-5051. Breakfast will be automatically prepared in the cafeteria, dress your person and meet your crew mates in the lounge." The voice said in a soothing male tone, though the rudely awaken scientist grumbled and yanked the blanket over his head, maybe ten minutes passed before someone knocked on his door and spoke.

"Come on Asher, we have work today!" Spoke a deep masculine voice, this in response got another grumble before the sound of ruffling sheets filled the room.



A young blue-black haired man stood up from his bed and entering into his bathroom, undressing down to his boxers as he glanced at a full body mirror and saw his chest scars that sat just below his pecks as he gave himself a small smile, bringing a hand up to the scars and then set his hands on his hips before finally removing his boxers to take a shower.


Stepping out of the shower he dressed himself in a band T-shirt, leather cropped jacket, ripped jeans and red high tops with the addition of fingerless gloves.

Now stepping out of his room he stretched and made his way to the commons where his fellow mates would be; upon entering he would see his friends all settling down to eat breakfast while having a discussion and laughing.

Tyson, a very tall and muscular black man looked over and smiled. "Looks like the raccoon finally joined us." He said jokingly as he sipped his coffee.

"ha ha, very funny." Asher said as he helped himself to a plate of mashed potatoes, gravy and chicken before sitting down with the rest and running his fingers through his fluffy black hair with blue dyed ends, tucking one of his raccoon tail side burns behind his ear before beginning to eat, his fluffy bangs falling back down covering his forehead and almost hiding his eyes.


While him and his mates ate another voice came over the intercom, the crew fell quiet in this time.

"Dear passengers, you will be arriving at Kepler-185D in an estimated one month, remember your work is important to help better your fellow humans back home." The voice said before going quiet.


"Well, it's taken us four years to get out this far, are you guys excited to see this new planet? I mean first hand of course." Said Fionna, her smile bright and comforting as she looked between her friends with her arms resting crossed on the table, she seemed to have already finished her food.

The table nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but we need to be careful, we were told that this planet doesn't have recorded life on it so it might be dangerous." Said Arron, clearly unsure of the expedition, though Asher set a hand on his and gave him a warm smile.

"Everything will be okay, we'll be careful." He said softly, Arron looked at Asher and returned the warm and reassuring gaze as he placed his free hand on Asher's, his thumb rubbing over his knuckles.

Asher then looked towards the rest of the table. "And besides, it would be a miracle if there was any life on this planet, the probe sent out to it reported back no above ground activity, at least none that would have given any of us a reason to suspect there would be any life, and if there IS life it's more than likely still in its soup stage." He said while moving to sit next to Arron at the table, lying his head on his shoulder while holding his hand.


"Yeah you're right, I mean the Amelia probe told us that fish like beings were found and nothing else apart from a few bugs." Susan said as she sat twirling her dark brown hair around her finger, after a few more minutes the group stood from the table and went to set their trays through a slot at the cafe bar that would clean the trays and set them up for future use.





Asher went to take inventory like usual, counting how much food and water they had which steadily decreased over the past 4 years, he smiled knowing there would still be more for the future 4 years of heading back home. He would leave the room and be stopped by Arron who gently set his hands on Asher's hips before going in to kiss him gingerly on the lips, Asher surprised for a moment set his arms around Arron's shoulders and smiled into the kiss. "Taking inventory again?" Arron asked softly, lightly swaying with Asher in his arms.


"You know I do every week." He said softly with a smile, to this Arron nodded and kissed him again before pulling back a bit. "yeah, I know. Anything you want to do today babe?" Arron asked, smiling and looking at Asher's hazel eyes, seeming almost lost in them. Asher set his hands flat against Arron's chest and thought for a moment before leaning in towards his neck and laying kisses down on his skin.

"We could have some fun after I finish my work today." Asher whispered before kissing his partner on the lips and walking off, Arron stood there with a faint blush on his cheeks and one hand at the side of his neck.




Asher groaned as he carried a box to the lab, he quickly set the box down as he grumbled trying to catch his breath, he let out a quick sigh before lifting the box again and dropping it on one of the tables in the lab. "Jeez...alright let's get this thing open." He said as he carefully opened the box. Asher takes out a few rocks from the planet they're traveling towards and sets them under the microscope, though he seemed confused after looking at one of them and spotting some kind of slime. "...what?" He said softly, going to put on gloves and grabbing a cotton swab, gently and carefully taking a sample and then setting it under the microscope.


The cells seemed to be rather old but aren't dried out, a tacky slime like material glazed the top of this rock, Asher made a face before grabbing a plastic bag and putting the rock and cotton swab in the bag together. "That's...odd." He said to himself before continuing his research.




Later Asher and Arron met up in Asher's bedroom, Asher sat on his bed with a few night lights turned on to give the room a bit of light. "Come here big boy~" He said softly, motioning for Arron to join him in the bed.

Arron smirked and sat on the bed with his boyfriend and began to kiss him, gently guiding Asher to straddle his lap, Asher set his hands on either side of Arron's face while they kissed.
