𝑻𝑯𝑹𝑬𝑬; 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑵𝑬𝑿𝑻 𝑺𝑻𝑬𝑷

Sloane was currently getting ready for the second tutoring session with Paige and she was visibly excited. She couldn't shake the excitement of seeing Paige again after not seeing her for so long. As she stood in front of her closet, pondering what to wear, her roommate Haven entered the room with a mischievous grin.

"Tryna look cute for Paige?" Haven teased, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

Sloane chuckled, feeling a rush of nerves and excitement coursing through her veins as she playfully rolled her eyes. "noo" Sloane said, dragging out her words and slightly blushing.

Haven gave her a look before rummaging through Sloane's wardrobe. "Yeah, mhmm," Haven said giving her a knowing look.

Haven joined Sloane in shifting through her clothes tossing aside various outfits until they settled on low waisted jeans that showed the waistband of her spandex, a hoodie she folded up to show off her belly button and uggs.

Haven nodded in approval, her eyes lighting up with excitement. "okayy body is tea!!"

Sloane laughed, feeling a surge of confidence wash over her.

Sloane's curls cascaded down her collarbones , framing her face in a soft halo of beauty. Sloane had on lashes and lip gloss added the finishing touches, enhancing her natural radiance.

As Sloane admired her reflection in the mirror, Haven stepped back with a satisfied smile. "You look so cute, bae."

Sloane blushed at the compliment, half embarrassed and half flattered, feeling a surge of gratitude towards her roommate. "Thanks, Haven," she said.

With one last glance in the mirror, Sloane gathered her belongings and made her way to the door, her heart fluttering with excitement. As she and Haven exchanged a knowing smile, she couldn't help but feel a sense of optimism about what the evening might bring. Right as she stepped out the door she received a text from Paige saying she had a late practice and is still getting ready and too come to her dorm so she could wait there instead of the library along with a following text with her dorm number.

Sloane began her journey to Paige's dorm and quickly arrived and knocked on the door.

As Sloane stood outside Paige's dorm room, she took a deep breath and knocked softly. After a moment, the door swung open, revealing a tall, athletic girl with a warm smile.

"Hey, you must be Sloane!, I'm Nika" She greeted her cheerfully, stepping aside to let Sloane in. "Paige told us you were coming, come in." Which made Sloane smile slightly at the warm welcome.

Sloane entered the room, feeling a bit nervous but mostly excited. She glanced around, noticing the cozy setup of the dorm room adorned with posters of sports events and a clutter of textbooks and sneakers.

"Thanks, it's nice to meet you, Nika," Sloane replied, smiling warmly.

Nika closed the door behind them and gestured towards the living area where a few other teammates were lounging around. "Guys, this is Sloane," she announced, earning curious looks from the group.

The teammates greeted Sloane with friendly smiles and introductions followed by playful banter about Paige finally bringing someone around. Sloane found herself quickly drawn into their easygoing conversation, and before long, she was laughing along with them as they shared stories about Paige's antics on and off the field.

One of the teammates, Inês, leaned closer to Sloane with a mischievous grin. "You know, Paige never mentioned how cute you are," she teased, earning playful nudges from the others.

Sloane blushed but chuckled, feeling flattered yet slightly embarrassed by the attention. "Well, Paige didn't mention she had such great friends either," she quipped back, earning laughs from the group.

As they continued chatting, Sloane couldn't help but notice how welcoming and fun Paige's teammates were. They seemed genuinely interested in getting to know her, and she found herself enjoying their company more and more.

Throughout the 10 minutes she was there, amidst the laughter and shared stories, Sloane caught glimpses of Paige's personality from a different angle, as her teammates affectionately revealed some of Paige's quirks and secrets. It felt like she was getting to know Paige in a whole new light, and it only made her more excited for them to become close again.

After a lively short amount of time spent with Paige's teammates, Paige finally emerged from her room, looking slightly disheveled from her late practice but beaming with a bright smile when she saw Sloane.

"Hey Sloane!" Paige exclaimed, pulling her up from the couch and began moving to the door.

Sloane said hi back and returned Paige's smile warmly.

The two girls said bye too the team as the team waved bye as well as Paige and Sloane began there way to the library

As they walked towards the library, Sloane couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The evening had turned out better than she could have imagined, and she was looking forward to spending more time with Paige, both tutoring and getting to know her better outside of their academic sessions.

"So, did they behave themselves?" Paige teased as they walked side by side.

Sloane laughed. "Your friends are hilarious they made me feel welcome."

"I'm glad to hear that," Paige said, her voice softening. "Honestly, I was a bit nervous about you meeting them, but they seem to like you a lot."

"They're great. And I got to learn a lot about you, too," Sloane said playfully, giving her a knowing look.

Paige chuckled and raised her eye brows. " oh really? what did they tell you?"

Sloane grinned mischievously. "that's confidential"

They continued walking, their laughter filling the evening air as they made their way to the library, looking forward to the tutoring session ahead and the blossoming friendship between them.

A/N: okkk guysss so I this chapter is kinda bad AND I KNOWWWWWWW the fit is basic but I really couldn't find anything better on Pinterest but anyways the updates might be slow next week cusss I have softball games monday,tuesday, wednesday and I have a formal dance on friday . soo yeaa😖😖
