"Wei Ying" Lan Wangji decided to propose to Wei Ying, in a very, unique way. The first time Lan Wangji met Wei Ying he deemed him annoying, speaking whatever words come out of his brain without thinking, shameless. however, the more the man talked to lan wangji, the more lan wangji's heart flutter, ready to explode every second he spends time with the black-haired man.
It surprised Lan Wangji when Wei Ying consented to be courted by Wangji, such a man like Wei Ying did not deserve such a man like Lan Wangji, an emotionless, stoic man like him. Certainly not, Wei Ying was a ray of sunshine, his smile, his laughter, and his eyes shining like the sun whenever he saw Lan Wangji or anyone close to him. In short, Lan Wangji did not deserve wei ying. which was why Lan Wangji was shocked when Wei Ying accepted his hand in becoming his boyfriend after only a few months of courting Wei Ying.
Which was why Lan Wangji requested putting a ring in wei yings cake for their date tonight. more specificially, an engagement ring.
"lan zhaaan" wei ying spoke, whining to his boyfriend. "why'd you suddenly take me on a date? don't tell me i forgot an important event! lan zhan im sooo soorr-" suddenly cutted of by his boyfriend "no, there is no such important event for this day" atleast not that wei ying knows of.
"then why are we in such a fancy restaurant?!?" gasped the younger man "don't tell me someone died?! someone died?! who?!!" the man exclaimed, wangji simply sighed before speaking again "no, wei ying's wrong, just wanted to take wei ying out on a date today" he simply lies, guilt pooling in his insides before pulling wei ying in a soft, delicate kiss, wei yings lips soft as ever, wei ying blushes as lan wangji deepens their kiss, after what felt like forever, lan wangji, against his wants, removes his lips agains wei yings.
"l-lan zhan!! are you trying to kill me with your charm?! do you want to kill your precious boyfriend with a heart attack! how mean!!" wei ying whines, his face turning red after the kiss "hm, of course not, i would never do that to my precious wei ying" wangji denies, ears turning red, he doesn't actually want wei ying to actually think he wants him to die, even though wangji knows wei ying was not serious he just wants to be sure
"wei ying, eat" he calmly asked, looking at the slice of velvet cake infront of wei ying.
"i will! now!" wei ying cheerly smiled while staring at lan zhan, ears turning red, staring at wei ying eating the slice of cake that had the ring inside, surely nothing could go wrong, nothing
a choking sound could be heard throughout the table, and oh, oh god, wei yings choking! he's choking because of the ring.
"wei ying" lan zhan quickly hurried to wei ying's side, giving abdominal thrusts, holding him around the waist and pulling inwards and upwards above their belly button. after what felt like forever, wei ying finally choked out the ring, the ring flying across the restaurant, the engagement ring long gone, how unfortunate for lan wangji.
"lan zhan!! i almost died! where was that thing that choked me?!? did you see!?" wei ying cried out, whining to lan wangji. "no, i did not, is wei ying fine now?" lan zhan asked in a concerned tone, looking at wei ying's watering eyes "of course i am! i'm not some kind of weakling!" wei ying puffed up his chest, trying to lighten the mood
"forget about that lan zhan! how was your day? my day is going good! i went to teach my class and they were so sweet! they braided my hair during snack time and then you texted me for a date and the students teased me the whole day! How embarrassing! And then I went home to get ready for our date and then you picked me up and then-!" wei lying continued to talk about his day, the date going smoothly after the failed proposal.
Lan zhan will just have to try again.
