" Please come in and have a seat" I signaled my guards to remain outside

" My daughter would be down soon , you know how girls are , always wanting to look classic and proper" Mr. Harlem said

" I understand Mr. Harlem but I suppose you do know that I have little time to spare" I played the busy man role

" I understand, I hope you have enough time to discuss over lunch, it's a very important proposal I have for you , just few minutes " He said whilst I looked around as my eyes fell on the feet adorned with red heels , it's her, my Sophia

"Ooh there she is , Mr. Vallentino meet my daughter , Selena"  Mr. Harlem said and as she raised her hand for a handshake I stopped breathing

Am gonna touch and feel her again mii belle so I did what's best at that moment, I had to simply acknowledge her with a nod though I felt like shit after her smile fell but I soon found my voice

"And who is that ?" I asked looking at the girl behind Selena ,she seemed too pretty so I thought maybe Mr. Harlem has another daughter but her demeanor didn't say so and am proven right by her words uttered

"Am Etoria sir, am the cook of the Harlem home and will be happy to serve you lunch today" She said sweetly

"Not to waste your time , allow us to settle down at the dining table, as Etoria said lunch shall be served" Mr. Harlem said diverting my attention

"Sure" I said and it was a span of ten seconds and I lost my breadth again

"Selena dear make our guest feel comfortable " Mr. Harlem said to my Sophia

"Sure, father" She responded docile and took a seat beside me , it was comfortingly choking

"Well Mr. Vallentino as I said before I have a proposal for you so would you do well to listen now or later" Mr. Harlem asked

"Of course later father, let's feed our guest first" Selena said, definitely not having any idea on the various ways I have for her to feed me

"Uuh, yes as the lady of the house wishes" I said siding with my Sophia

"Lunch is served sir " The blonde ,Etoria said

"Thanks Etoria" I couldn't help but talk to her, I don't know, she has a very calming aura she  just.....attracts me

"You should have your dessert Mr. Vallentino, Etoria makes the best desserts" Selena said trying to cajole me

"I have no doubts but am low on time so I would much rather have it while the proposal is made " I said getting straight to business

"Ooh yh , Mr. Vallentino as you know I will be running for president in the upcoming election" Mr. Harlem said

" Yes I do , that is very progressive and am sure you would win the election of course" I said giving credit where due

" Of course with your help , recently our scouting for the future election doesn't guarantee my success but a yes from you would definitely help in achieving that" He said making me cock a brow

" What would you like me to do for you Mr. Harlem" I asked intrusively

" A life changing decision Mr. Vallentino, I want to give you my daughter's hand in marriage which is equivalent to a promise from you to help in the election " He said like it was a simple cookie exchange

"And who made this suggestion?" I asked with a hardened gaze though she was already fucking mine

" Now that doesn't matter Mr. Vallentino all I need is your consent, my daughter has no problem with this arrangement she is a sensible girl who knows that Daddy knows best" He said like he just gave the best answer in the world

" And why would I marry Selena when I can marry anyone else?" I questioned firmly but regretted it when her head snapped towards me with a piercing gaze filled with confusion and hurt swirling in it and that's when I decided to not over exaggerate my refusal when its not the case

"Of course it's because she is Selena and not anyone else" I answered myself very quickly

" May I have some privacy with Selena, Mr. Harlem" I asked In a gentlemanly manner

" Sure, sure go on" He said waving us off

"Thank you for agreeing to help my father with the election" She said engulfing me in a hug

"It was my pleasure Selena, I would do it a zillion times more if this is the reward I'll get and remember Ma Cherie I will do anything and everything for you , anything Sophia " I said genuinely and if I had known I would have said it over and over since I got just to see the crimson colour stain her cheeks as it is now

"Sophia?" She muttered bringing me out my reverie

"Yes , Sophia uhh, It means my little princess" I attempted an explanation , a lie was my best bet

"Ooh, th..." She began talking but we were both cut off in that moment by the thud sound we heard

" I...uhh ...am very sorry , but...but..uhh Mr. Harlem would be waiting for you both" Etoria stuttered as she got back on her feet and then she ran away making I and Selena laugh our asses off especially with how red her face was from the embarrassment, I don't even wanna question it , she must have been evesdropping

" Where were we?" I said turning my attention back to my Sophia

" Well I was about to ask why you didn't shake my hand if you are this nice to me , that was a dick move you know?" She asked honestly so I answered honestly too

"Cherie If I touched you then we wouldn't be here now , I would have you screaming my name in pleasure , am controlling myself right now don't question my patience "

I said looking directly into her eyes and then I kissed her right cheek and watched how She dashed downstairs as I laughed to myself with a tear rolling down my left eye , my cute Sophia , she is back.
