Chapter 2

I chose to be absent although it is still tuesday. Chavez Corp gave an open assembly where all people who aspire to become like them are free to attend.

"Ziv naman! Ako lang mag isa sa school!"

she ranted

"Ano ka ba! Kaya mo na yan. Hindi ko pwedeng palagpasin to no!"

Palibhasa kasi sa NASA siya interesado kaya mas gusto nyang magpaiwan kaysa samahan ako sa convention. Habang papasok ako sa building, hindi ko mapigilan ang mapahanga. Para lang talaga akong nasa sa sci-fi movies. Ganitong ganito yun eh. Robots, flying objects, holograms, speedy machines, at iba pa. Everything in here is worth seeing.

The good thing here is they just don't want people to see but also have the chance to touch and near the inventions displayed but of course, with care. Iiexplain din nila ano ang mga equipments na kailangan para mabuo ang ilan sa mga inventions nila especially yung mga machines na hindi pa napapalabas in public at dinidevelop pa lang.

"H is a three-dimensional projection which can be seen without using any special equipment such as cameras or glasses. Holographic images can be static, such as a picture of a product, or they may be animated sequences which can be watched by multiple people from any viewpoint"

I just listened to how a hologram works and typed it in my Ipad. I need to know everything about these things. Sa totoo lang, I can apply and go to them, bring my inventions or tell them to ask those people I sold things with para maconfirm nila ang kakayahan ko. But I just think that it's a bit too early for me to be with these people. Lalo na't si Kian lang ang nakakasalimuha ko araw araw. I don't think I'm ready for the spotlight yet. In time, magagamit ko rin ang connection ng mga Chavez. Syempre, no one wants the hard way dba? I have the talent so why suffer if I can have it easy for me?

After that, I transferred and went on with the same routine again. Observe, listen, type, ask a question. Hapon na nang matapos lahat ang presenter. I looked at my watch and thought na baka wala ang pamilyang Chavez ngayon. Umalis na lang ako sa hall na pinagganapan ng convention at ready nang umalis.

But before I could go, I saw Gill and Iyanna Chavez. They look good for their age! Aakalain mong wala pa sa 50's eh. I was familiar with them because I remembered that they used to visit our home before. They would visit my mom and dad and even eat dinner with us. They are always alone and do not bring Gideon nor Gaia with them so I didn't have the chance to meet the two when we were young. Those four were partners! Not that I was curious about what happened in the past. It was just quite relieving to see familiar faces. I bet hindi na nila ako maaalala nyan which is better for me, I think.

I bowed a little bit when I saw Iyanna look in my direction for a brief moment. I took it as my cue to leave and went home. Nagshower ako kaagad and studied the things I took note of. I gathered the equipment I have and ordered the things I lacked online. I will make a hologram and will sell it! I will just say that it was from the Chavez corp to avoid conflicts. The Chavez' might hear about the hologram I made and investigate it. That's the last thing that I want.

"Hi"

Bati sa akin ni Kian. Inirapan ko lang siya dahil hinayaan niya lang ako kahapon.

"Sino ka po?" sabi ko

"Ay. Sorry naman! Ano ba naman tong taong to!"

Sasagot pa sana ako kaso dumating na si Ms. April, math teacher namin. Napaayos ako nang upo kasi kita ko kaagad ang nakasulat na VS sa Ipad ni ma'am. Nanlumo ako kasi recitation ulit. Competitive kasi mga tao dito tapos ako tamad lang ganern.
