The living room was abuzz with excitement and chatter as the family gathered for the wedding preparations. The scent of incense and fresh flowers filled the air, mingling with the warmth of familial love. I had just helped Maa with arranging some delicate garlands when Abhimaan's parents, Papa and Maa, approached me with beaming smiles.

"Mayura, beta, come here!" Papa Maa called, opening her arms for a hug.

I grinned and walked over, enveloped in her warm embrace. It felt like a comforting shield against the whirlwind of emotions I was experiencing. Abhimaan, meanwhile, stood at a distance, his eyes darting between his parents and me with a mixture of pride and possessiveness.

The preparations were in full swing. The house was adorned with traditional decorations, and the aroma of spices and sweets wafted through every room. I was busy helping Maa and Riya with the last-minute details, while Abhimaan seemed to be engaged in a fierce debate with Aaryan about who would get to drive the car for better .

“Come on, Abhimaan! Aryan's better!” I called out, my voice filled with laughter. “He’s been practicing for weeks.”

Abhimaan’s face tightened with mock irritation. “I know, I know. But if he messes up, it’ll not be my fault!”

Aaryan and Riya exchanged amused glances, their faces lit up with mischief. “Don’t worry, Bhabhi,” Aaryan said with a grin. “We’ll make sure everything goes smoothly.”

We got to know from maa that we had to stay away from each other until the marriage .

Just as the banter was reaching its peak, Abhimaan’s face suddenly grew serious. He approached me, his gaze intense and his steps purposeful. “Mayura,” he said softly, “can we talk?”

I looked at him curiously, sensing the shift in his mood. “Sure, Abhimaan. What’s up?”

He led me to a quieter corner of the house, away from the bustling crowd. His expression was a mix of frustration and something deeper, a possessiveness that was unmistakable. I watched as he ran a hand through his hair, clearly agitated.

“Mayura, I need to talk to you about something,” he said, his voice low. “I’ve been thinking…”

I raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue. “What’s on your mind?”

Abhimaan took a deep breath, his eyes locking onto mine. “You know how I’ve been trying to be patient and understanding about all the wedding arrangements and the time apart?”

I nodded, sensing where this was heading. “Yes?”

He took a step closer, his gaze never wavering. “Well, I can’t stand the thought of being away from you for even a night. It drives me crazy.”

Before I could respond, his hands gripped my shoulders, pulling me closer. His lips crashed onto mine with a fierce intensity that took me by surprise. The kiss was rough and demanding, a stark contrast to the gentle, teasing moments we’d shared before.

I gasped, feeling the heat of his passion surge through me. My hands instinctively clutched at his shirt, trying to steady myself. Despite the roughness, there was an undeniable fire in his touch that I couldn’t ignore. I melted into the kiss, responding with equal fervor, my body pressing against his as if trying to merge with him.

Abhimaan’s grip tightened, his kisses growing more insistent. I could feel his heartbeat pounding against mine, a rhythm that matched the pounding of my own heart. His hands roamed my back, pulling me closer, his breath hot against my skin.

When he finally pulled away, his eyes were dark with a mix of desire and satisfaction. I looked up at him, breathless and flushed, my own eyes reflecting the same intensity.

“That’s how much I hate being apart from you,” he said, his voice a rough whisper. “I want you, Mayura. Always.”

I bit my lip, my mind still spinning from the kiss. “I understand, Abhimaan. I want the same.”

He smiled, his expression softening as he cupped my face in his hands. “Good. Then let’s make the most of every moment we have.”

As we stood there, wrapped in each other’s embrace, I knew that despite the challenges and the teasing, our love was unbreakable.

The sounds of the bustling preparations slowly filtered back into our awareness, but for a moment, it felt as though time had stopped. We were lost in our own world, savoring the intimacy and the connection that bound us together.

Maa’s voice called from the other room, breaking the spell. “Mayura, beta! We need your help with the decorations!”

I reluctantly pulled away, a smile playing on my lips. “Coming, Maa!”

Abhimaan gave me one last lingering kiss before releasing me. “I’ll be here, waiting,” he said, his eyes promising more to come.

I nodded, feeling a thrill of excitement. “I’ll be right back.”

As I rejoined the preparations, my heart was still racing from our passionate exchange. The wedding might have been filled with its share of challenges and teasing, but one thing was certain: our love was fierce, possessive, and utterly consuming. And as we faced the days ahead, I knew that with Abhimaan by my side, I could handle anything.
