Taylor's face flashed between panic and anger. Before she could respond, Tree interrupted her "I am worried about you. What you're doing isn't healthy. You can try and trick us all, but we have been here before. I'm not going to let you do it again"
Taylor snorted slightly ""I'm an adult. I can do what I want. You can't control me"
Tree reached over, squeezing her hand "I don't want to control you – I just don't want to enable you killing yourself. I am here for you, you know that – right?"
Taylor pushed away, standing and pacing around the hotel. Anger flashed through her eyes "I AM FINE! LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Tree shook her head "I can't do that right now, come and sit down. Eat a bit more of this then I will leave you to get ready for the day."
Taylor looked torn, she didn't want to eat any more but she also knew she needed Tree to leave if she wanted to get to rehearsals today. She dipped the spoon into the yoghurt, taking a decent sized spoon before picking up a small strawberry and chewing it quickly. She repeated this again before hesitating.
Tree smiled "You need some egg now please"
Taylor put a small bite of egg into her mouth, scrunching up her nose "I don't like this – it's too...too eggy"
Tree scoffed "the egg is too eggy? Don't be ridiculous"
Taylor reached out taking another small bite of egg. As she swallowed it her stomach physically clenched – preparing to throw up the food. She knew she needed to get Tree out of the hotel room so she quickly forced down three more bites of egg. She dropped the fork down "happy?"
Tree nodded, "yeah – that'll do for this morning. I'll leave you to get dressed. I'll be back in an hour to head to the venue..."
Taylor forced a smile onto her face "great. See you in an hour"
As soon as Tree had left the hotel room, Taylor rushed straight to the bathroom, forcing herself to vomit the contents of her stomach.
She pushed herself off the floor, brushed her teeth and showered quickly.
She pulled her hair into a loose ponytail and put on her comfy clothes. She would get her hair and makeup done at the venue so she never made an effort.
As soon as she was finished getting ready she sat down and pulled out her phone, scrolling through social media.
Her stomach dropped as she read the comments about her show last night. Although everyone was saying what a good performance it was, there were many comments worried about Taylor – they were speculating she looked unwell and dizzy.
Half her fans were commenting on her body, worried she had lost weight and the other half were stating it was nobody's right to comment on her body.
She scrolled for the next hour – the anxiety building in her stomach as tears rolled down her face. She began to feel like everything had spiralled out of control – she just needed to lose a few pounds, to feel comfortable on stage. She didn't want everyone worrying about it – questioning if she had relapsed. She just wanted this all to disappear.
Soon there was a knock at the door then Tree appeared. Taylor wiped at her face, trying to hide the tears. Tree looked down at the blonde's phone, then up at the red eyed women. She smiled sympathetically, knowing all about the comments swirling online. She walked over, sitting in front of Taylor "I'm on top of it – we have had requests for a couple of statements. I've said it is a gruelling tour which requires immense physical stamina – that you're working hard but healthy. I've also leaked a couple of behind the scenes photos – the fans will be caught up with those instead. Go out tonight, give a great, solid performance and this will all be forgotten"
