You looked at the volcano project you built with Sukuna, who stood beside you proudly as the guests and teachers approached your table.

You couldn't stop smiling and grinning wide. Unable to contain your excitement, you turned towards Sukuna - the boy who had transferred a few weeks ago and surprisingly bonded with you over time.

His hair was messy when he entered the class for the first time with a lollipop in his mouth. The teacher assigned him the chair behind you, and ever since then, your chair got kicked from behind in every class. You were initially infuriated by his audacity but slowly learning about his creativity made you two an effective team.

Today was the annual exhibition day, and you couldn't wait to show the volcanic explosion you had seen in a library book and partnered with Sukuna to recreate. It would count towards your grades, and you would finally graduate from fifth grade in a month!

The guests finally arrived at your table, and you took a deep breath before smiling again and starting to present your piece. You turned to Sukuna, hinting at him to press the button, and he did...

The volcano erupted, and you both won first place!

It wasn't long before you found out that a new family had moved in a block away from your house. You were playing alone in the sand one evening when you noticed familiar pink hair around the block and immediately recognized Sukuna. That was the day you stopped playing alone and finally had company.

Your mom loved having Sukuna over, and his mom loved having you over as well. His mom even thanked you for helping him with his studies because there was a dramatic improvement in his grades. You helped him with schoolwork while he taught you to be more adventurous.

You were rather isolated, but Sukuna encouraged you to be more social and helped you make friends and improve your communication skills.

When you turned 15, a group of kids surrounded you like vultures. You refused to let them have their way, and when they came after you, Sukuna stepped in and defended you. He warned the people cornering you, and you never saw them again.

Seeing him defend you made you realize your feelings had evolved into something deeper.

Your bond deepened over time. You often visited each other and spent nights at each other's place almost every week. He was the only person you trusted the most. He was your best friend, your one and only, and you had no filter around him. He told you his problems, and you told him yours, and you would always try to find solutions together.

He was with you and comforted you when you lost your pet hamster, whom you had loved a lot. You couldn't imagine your life without him.

He was your other half.

On your 16th birthday, Sukuna gave you a scrapbook filled with memories and pictures of the two of you. When you unwrapped the gift, tears welled up in your eyes as you realized how much he cared about you and valued your friendship.

It warmed your heart and made you finally decide what was for the best...and so you chose to do it.

Later that evening, you walked to the park side by side with Sukuna and softly plopped onto the swing you loved so much. Sukuna went behind you and pushed you as you swayed back and forth in the wind. A few seconds passed, and the air filled with laughter and giggles.

When you both had your fun, the swing slowed down, and now you were sitting on the swing with Sukuna standing beside you.

"Hey, Sukuna..." you began, and he raised an eyebrow at you while humming.

"There's something I've been wanting to talk to you about..." you trailed off, holding the chain firmly and looking at your lap. Sukuna's eyes fixed on you as he stood beside you, hands in his pockets.
