3rd P.O.V
THE DRIVER observed William through the rearview mirror, his gaze meeting the young master's resolute expression. As William's hand tightened around the door handle, his lips formed a thin line, revealing the weight of his emotions. "Don't worry, hyung," William reassured, his voice carrying a tinge of melancholy. "I'm not upset at all. I've grown accustomed to it."A somber smile graced his lips, a bittersweet acknowledgment of the reality he had come to accept. The driver's heart ached for the young master, understanding the heaviness that accompanied such familiarity with disappointment. In the reflection of the rearview mirror, their eyes met, a silent understanding passing between them.
As William approached the house, he took a glance at the car that drove away, he was greeted by a woman in her middle age, appearing to be in her early 50s. She wore a neatly ironed uniform, distinct from the uniforms worn by the two women who stood behind her. "Welcome home, Young master," she warmly greeted him. "How's your day?"
William glanced at the woman, affectionately calling her Ajumni, a term used to address an older woman in a respectful manner. He replied, "Same as always, Ajumni. Although we had a new transfer student today." A flicker of surprise danced in the woman's eyes as she absorbed the unexpected news. "In the middle of the semester?" she questioned, her curiosity piqued.
William nodded, confirming her query. "Yes, it's true. I wasn't expecting a new classmate in our class," he explained. As he began walking towards the house, the woman accompanied him, while the two ladies followed behind in silence, assuming their roles as housekeepers.
"He caused quite a stir in our school," William continued, a note of amusement in his voice. He turned towards Ajumni, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "If you saw him, Ajumni, I think you would understand." The woman chuckled softly, her interest piqued by William's words. "Well, what is he like then? Perhaps I could grasp the commotion through your description," she suggested.
"He's really handsome and looks neat," William began, his enthusiasm evident. "Plus, he's probably a few inches taller than me. I initially mistook him for a model or a trainee." He painted a picture of the new transfer student, his words carrying a sense of admiration.
The woman chuckled, acknowledging William's excitement. "He must be truly handsome if you're complimenting him like that," she remarked playfully. "He's the second person you've regarded as attractive." The woman's words elicited a whine from William, a playful protest against her teasing. "Ajumni, you and Alan-hyung said the same thing. Isn't it normal to acknowledge someone's attractiveness?" he countered, defending his perspective.
The woman's laughter rang out, a warm and familiar sound. "Of course, it's normal, young master," she assured him. "But it's always amusing to see you so captivated by someone's looks. It's a testament to their charm." She walked alongside William, their conversation filled with lighthearted banter, providing a momentary respite from the weight of his family's circumstances.
