Chapter 5: The raspberriest day

"Call me, Below..." The gummy bear looking shrouden said. "Also, hold my hand" Seraphina was hesitant at first but eventually held its hand. Suddenly a huge hand came from a black portal (like before) and grabbed Below's hand and pulled him in with Seraphina. They were dropped into the middle of a nearby railway bridge and there was a train incoming, Seraphina looked like she was visibly shrieking, though she couldn't talk, but Below just said, "oops" at the sight of the incoming train, but Serphina impulsively gripped onto Below's hand and they were off at once. They were propped on the ground, but bad news, they got dropped infront of the store Archeon and Seraphina robbed. Seraphina and Below try to run behind them but the cops were already at the scene. "There they are!" A Chronian police officer yelled. Seraphina looked absolutely gaunt but Below just sighed while the cops ran towards them, But no... Seraphina had had enough of this. No games this time. Seraphina stuck her 2 robot arms together and made a sort of electric ball and then unstuck her hands and launched it back at the police officers, jolting them backwards, plummeting through multiple walls. Seraphina looked at her robot hands in amazement, even Below cracked a smile, but they both knew they had no time to lose before more cops came.

Seraphina leaded the way and they ran up random streets and alleyways with no sense of direction at all. "Do you know where you're even going?" Shouted Below. She then bursted through the doors of a nearby entrance to a stack of a vertically shaped flat with her arms and ran up the long stairwell until they were at the top floor. There was a conveniently placed pipe that they could climb to get to the roof of the tall flat. Finally, They were at the top. "Hey, can we... stop running now? I'm so... tired..." But Seraphina still had energy, probably because of her whimsicore, or her naturally powerful, steamrolling legs. Her parents never had as powerful legs as hers, actually, But Seraphina doesn't really remember much about her parents since what they call, "The unluckiest day" Seraphina's parents unfortunately didn't make it out alive in the Shrouden pandemic since Seraphina's parents were extremely old and frail. Seraphina tried to save them but 2 shroudens caught up to her father and her mother and uhm... let's just say they were part of the... "700,000..." Also, People call the day the shroudens came, "The unluckiest day" because the generation that day happened in was called "The luckiest generation", The generation that they're still in now, one year left of it though. Seraphina only remembers taking something from some small bottle, everyday, Maybe some raspberries. I mean, they kinda looked red and white... Anyways, Seraphina and Below climbed onto the pipe and onto the roof. They watched the city infront of them for a while, not even saying a word, just standing there, almost triumphantly. It was getting really dark out so it looked even better with all the pink and blue lights that veiled VeloCity. Suddenly, Seraphina shook herself and knocked herself into a sprint and started leaping on nearby buildings like a mutated frog. "Hey, hey! wait up! gosh she's so unpredictable..." Running from moonlight, Running from the law, Running from the world, Running from the everlasting horizon, Running from the mould on the rooftops, with a friend! What could get any better than this? Seraphina was having the time of her life scaling the buildings and so was Below with his black cloak gently flowing in the wind picking up. when they heard a loud sound coming from behind them, almost like if something was being demolished. It had come vertically from the ground up of the most recent building they had leaped ontop of. They stopped dead in their tracks and looked behind them at full speed to see a sort of mutant chronian. It had the same hat as Hi-fi, then the realisation kicked in, it was her... She had gotten taller, she looked kinda like a 15 year old, if they had antennae and huge, bulging mutated arms. "Well she got... bigger..." Below said steadily.

At once, Hi-fi screeched at a annoyingly high pitch and started sprinting dead ahead towards Seraphina, and only Seraphina. Hi-fi leaped up into the air and jumped ontop of Seraphina, She blocked it with her robot arms though. Just Then, Below jumped into the air and pulled Hi-fi's antennae at full force. Hi-fi did a deafening screech as she was flailing her arms about, but unfortunately, one of Hi-fi's... clump of muscle? caught Below's arm, then Hi-fi spun around in a couple times, then Hi-fi let go of Below's arm and she sent him flying like a ragdoll. Below wasnt in eyesight anymore, atleast Seraphina's eyesight. Swiftly, Hi-fi swung her arm at Seraphina, but she luckily dodged, leaping under Hi-if's legs, quickly getting to her feet and preparing for a lethal kick. Seraphina gained her balance but midair, Below comes from the same black portal and also prepares to kick Hi-fi, but in the face. Impulsively, Seraphina fiercely kicks Hi-fi on her back and so does Below in her face. Kind of epic if you ask me. Below loses his balance and lands face first into the last building they jumped onto, which unluckily, is the one Hi-fi came out of. Below yells as he falls multiple flights down a tall building, but Seraphina ignores Hi-fi and jumps down impulsively to try save him. "Help!" Below screams. Seraphina catches up to Below and grabs him quickly and points one of her robot arms to the sky and a blue, giant, electric hand came out of her arm and latched onto the ledge of the tall building. They came to a halt and Below stopped yelling. Seraphina was sweating like crazy and practically had the reddest face on earth. They were safe. For a couple seconds before, at the top of the building, Hi-fi brushed off her blood and saw the long, strange, blue hand on the ledge and didn't hesitate one bit to repetitively stomp on it. Then, Hi-fi bursted into tears, threw a mini tantrum, continuedly stamping her feet on the electric hand and saying, "That's it! I'm getting that dead little friend to help out! I don't care anymore! I want you, dead, dead, dead! No one who commits crimes in this city makes it out alive! We have a reputation!..." Instantly, Below and Seraphina continue falling to their peril onto the ground, but Seraphina gets knocked by debris ontop of Below, Almost cancelling Seraphina's fall, but damaging Below even more. Everything is partly blurry for Seraphina, she feels extremely lightheaded but still manages to stand up because of her impeccable legs. Seraphina's blurry vision manages to make out Below's clustered image somehow. She slowly dragged Below out of the decimated building by his worn out cloak and decided to place behind a nearby store for rest where she would pick him up later. The walk along the parking lot to the store felt like years, upon decades, upon centuries, upon eons even! As she was turning back to the parking lot, she looked at the store which had the long lived brand name, "Gary's Fruit parlour!" The exclamation mark was flickering which made Seraphina wince a little bit but not too much. She decided to again, steal from the store since she'd already stolen, probably killed police officers, and tried killing the head of
VeloCity.
