Emilia Wilson and Avery Jordan sat looking at the waves crashing over at Malibu beach while they couldn't imagine the summer ending. The two girls became good friends over the course of the last few weeks and to think that each of them had to go back to their lives were sad.
Emilia was lucky enough to be able to stay at the seaside, while Avery had to head back to the big city in New York.
"It's unfair," Avery stated as Emilia looked at her.
"You get to stay here and I have to go back to NYC."
"Avery,you can always come back. Remember that. And we don't have to completely break contact. We can both still continue being friends," Emilia said as Avery heard her name being called.
"It's my mother," Avery said as she jumped up,dusting the sea sand off.
"Will I ever see you again?" Avery asked as Emilia stood up.
"You will yeah. We both will see one another again," Emilia said.
"Promise? Swear to me," Avery said as Emilia smiled.
"Avery Jordan, I swear you and I will see one another again," Emilia said.
Avery brushed Emilia's dark, curly hair out of her face, looking straight into her chocolate brown eyes. For a moment, everything seemed unreal. Avery bit her lip, as she leaned closer, her lips crashing into Emilia's.
Emilia was caught off guard in more ways than one. But she didn't hesitate. She wrapped her arms around Avery, pulling her deeper into the kiss, kissing her more and more passionately. And it wasn't just one of two things that changed for them. It was everything.
Everything has changed.
