Lily was trying to find Maddie. Elijah had asked her to. But she hadn't seen her. She frowned as she saw a light in an empty hallway. She walked in and felt sick.

"M-Maddie!" She yelled as she ran over to her. She lifted her head up and felt the blood. "Maddie," she sobbed.

Lily did the one thing she thought of. She bit into her wrist and fed Maddie her blood. She lifted Maddie into her arms and walked out. "K-Klaus."

Klaus turned to see Lily with an unconscious Maddie in her arms. He walked over. "What happened love?" He asked.

"I-I don't know. I found her. She was pushed I think," Lily said. She was silently crying. Just hoping her best friend wasn't going to die.

But Lily knew that if Maddie did wake up, then she would have a choice to make. To transition. Or to die. But what would she choose?

Lily was sat by Maddie who was still unconscious. Klaus stood behind Lily. He had grown to care for Maddie and didn't want her to die. But he also knew that it would be her choice.

Klaus looked to Lily. "Do you know what happened?" He asked.

"I know that she had been arguing with Damon and Elena all day. So it had to be one of them. I know she wouldn't have jumped. She was happy."

Klaus nodded. Lily wiped away some tears. "She was so happy. All her life she's had to deal with Elena. And all the drama with her. But then she met Elijah who changed her life. Helped her see that she was important. And now, I don't know what to do," she sobbed.

Klaus had never seen Lily showing so much emotion before. And it hurt him to see the woman that he was falling in love with hurting.

"Do you know what she would want?" Klaus asked.

Lily shook her head. "We've never had that conversation before. I'm guessing she has with Elijah."

Elena was sitting in the house. She was in tears as she thought about Maddie lying unconscious. The blood pooling from her head. She had let Damon kill her sister.

Elena knew how Damon had been saying he would kill her. And he had.

She looked up as Jeremy walked in. "What's wrong?" He asked as he looked to her.

"Nothing."

"Have you spoken to Maddie?" Jeremy asked.

Elena shook her head. "She was at the ball. But haven't seen her since. She's probably busy."

Rebekah walked into the room where Elijah was with Kol. "Elijah. It's Madeline. There's been an accident."

Without a second thought, Elijah took off. He walked into the bedroom and saw Maddie lying in bed. "Madeline. What happened?" He asked.

Lily turned to him. "She fell. I don't know how. But I think she was pushed. Elijah, I had to give her blood," she told him.

Elijah realised now that Maddie would have a choice to make. To transition into a vampire. Or to die. He didn't know what she would want. But whatever she did want, he would support her.
