When you play a prank on him.
Heeseung arrived home from a long day of practice, looking forward to the comfort of your hugs and kisses. He walked into the living room, expecting you to run to him as you usually did, but you were nowhere in sight. Confused, he called out, "Y/N? I'm home!"
He heard noises from the kitchen and made his way there, his confusion growing when you didn't respond. You were at the counter, making coffee, your back turned to him. "Hey, love," he greeted, walking up to you and wrapping his arms around your waist.
To his surprise, you shifted away, moving to the sink and effectively breaking his hold. Heeseung blinked, taken aback. "Y/N, what's going on?"
You didn't respond, your focus seemingly on the dishes in the sink. Heeseung felt a knot of worry and frustration forming in his chest. "Did I do something wrong?" he asked, his voice a mix of confusion and concern.
Still, you remained silent, a slight frown on your face as you continued with your task. Heeseung's frustration mounted. He wasn't used to being ignored by you, and it was driving him crazy not knowing what he had done to deserve this treatment.
"Okay, that's it," he muttered under his breath. In one swift motion, he grabbed your waist and lifted you, setting you on the kitchen counter. You crossed your arms over your chest, looking away from him.
"Y/N, seriously, what's going on?" he demanded, his eyes searching your face for any hint of what might have upset you. "Why are you ignoring me?"
You kept up your act, your expression stony. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Heeseung ran a hand through his hair, clearly frustrated. "Come on, baby, talk to me. Did something happen? Did I do something to upset you?"
You glanced at him briefly before looking away again. "Maybe."
Heeseung's mind raced as he tried to recall anything he might have done to cause this. "Was it something I said? Something I did? Please, Y/N, just tell me so I can make it right."
You bit your lip, trying to suppress a smile. "You really don't know?"
Heeseung shook his head, his eyes wide with confusion. "No, I don't! Please, just tell me. I hate seeing you like this."
Seeing how genuinely worried he was, you decided it was time to end the prank. You sighed dramatically. "Well, you know how you always leave your clothes lying around?"
Heeseung nodded slowly, clearly not understanding how this could be the cause. "Yeah?"
You sighed again, trying to keep a straight face. "It's not about that."
Heeseung's frustration turned to disbelief. "Wait, what? Then what is it about?"
You couldn't hold back your laughter any longer. "Gotcha!"
Heeseung blinked, realization dawning on him. "Wait, you were pranking me?"
You nodded, giggling. "Yup. Just wanted to see how you'd react."
Heeseung groaned, his frustration giving way to relief. "You really had me worried, you know that?"
You smiled, leaning forward to kiss him on the cheek. "I'm sorry, love. I just couldn't resist."
Heeseung shook his head, a smile tugging at his lips. "You're unbelievable."
You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. "But you love me anyway."
Heeseung laughed, finally relaxing. "Yeah, I do. Just don't scare me like that again, okay?"
You nodded, kissing him gently on the lips. "I promise."
Heeseung sighed, his hands resting on your hips. "I really thought I did something horrible. You're a good actress, you know that?"
You grinned. "Thanks. But maybe next time, I'll pick a less stressful prank."
Heeseung chuckled, his forehead resting against yours. "Good idea. Now, can I finally get my hug and kiss?"
You smiled, wrapping your arms around him tightly. "Of course."
Heeseung held you close, the tension finally melting away. "I missed you," he murmured against your hair.
"I missed you too," you replied softly.
Heeseung pulled back slightly, looking into your eyes. "By the way, if you ever really do have an issue with me, please just tell me. I don't like playing guessing games when it comes to your feelings."
You nodded, your expression sincere. "I promise. No more pranks like this."
Heeseung smiled, brushing a strand of hair from your face. "Good. Now, how about we finish that coffee and spend the evening together?"
You nodded, a smile spreading across your face. "Sounds perfect."
Heeseung helped you off the counter, keeping an arm around your waist as you finished making the coffee. You spent the rest of the evening in each other's company, enjoying the warmth and comfort that only being together could bring.
