Attention

When you ignore a pouty Heeseung.

The room was quiet except for the occasional rustle of pages as you eagerly devoured your mystery book. You were at a crucial part of the story, determined to find out who killed the victim. Your brows furrowed in concentration as you tried to piece together the clues.

Heeseung, meanwhile, had been trying to get your attention for the past half hour. He sighed dramatically, tapping his fingers on the armrest of the couch, but you were too engrossed in your book to notice. Finally, he decided he had enough.

With a swift motion, Heeseung grabbed the book from your hands, causing you to let out a surprised whine. "Heeseung, give it back! I'm almost at the best part!" you protested, reaching out to reclaim your book.

He held it out of your reach, his expression serious. "You've had your head in this book all day. What about me? Don't I deserve some attention too?" he asked, his voice tinged with a hint of frustration.

You couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous he sounded. "Are you jealous of a book?" you teased, trying to grab it from him again.

Heeseung's pout deepened, and he looked at you with those big, pleading eyes that reminded you so much of a puppy. He took your hands in his, squeezing them gently. "Yes, I am. You always pay more attention to your book than to me," he said, his tone softening as he gave you his best puppy-dog look.

You sighed, shaking your head with a smile. "You really do remind me of Bambi, you know that?" you said, looking into his eyes.

Heeseung's pout turned into a playful smile. "Bambi, huh? I guess that's better than being compared to a book," he replied, pulling you closer to him.

You wrapped your arms around his neck, leaning into his embrace. "Alright, Bambi, you've got my attention. What do you want to do?" you asked, your voice softening as you looked up at him.

Heeseung's eyes lit up with excitement. "How about we watch a movie together? Or maybe go for a walk? Anything, as long as I get to spend time with you," he suggested, his tone hopeful.

You smiled, touched by his sincerity. "A movie sounds good," you agreed, resting your head on his shoulder. "But you have to promise not to steal my book again," you added playfully.

Heeseung chuckled, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "Deal. As long as you promise to give me some attention," he said, tightening his hold on you.

You nodded, feeling a warm sense of contentment. "I promise," you whispered, snuggling closer to him.

As you settled in to watch a movie together, Heeseung couldn't resist stealing a few glances at you. He loved seeing you so happy and relaxed. After the movie, you both decided to take a walk outside. The evening air was cool and refreshing, and you enjoyed the quiet moments together.

While walking, Heeseung reached for your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. "I really missed spending time with you," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

You squeezed his hand, smiling up at him. "I missed you too, Heeseung. I'm sorry if I got too caught up in my book," you said, feeling a pang of guilt.

He shook his head, stopping to face you. "It's okay. I know how much you love reading. I just want to make sure we have time for each other too," he said, his eyes filled with warmth.

You nodded, feeling grateful for his understanding. "Thank you for being so patient," you said softly.

Heeseung leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips. "Anything for you," he whispered against your lips.

The two of you continued your walk, enjoying the peacefulness of the evening. When you returned home, Heeseung pulled you into a tight hug. "I'm really glad we did this," he said, his voice muffled against your hair.

You smiled, feeling a sense of contentment. "Me too, Heeseung. Me too," you replied, holding him close.

As the night went on, you found yourselves back on the couch, this time cuddled up together. Heeseung held you close, his fingers gently stroking your hair. "So, tell me about your book. Who do you think the killer is?" he asked, his curiosity arose.

You laughed, feeling the warmth of his embrace. "I have a few theories, but I don't want to spoil it for you," you teased.

Heeseung chuckled, pressing a kiss to your temple. "Fair enough. But promise me one thing," he said, looking into your eyes.

"What's that?" you asked, your curiosity piqued.

"Promise me that no matter how good the book is, you'll always make time for us," he said, his tone serious.

You nodded, feeling a sense of warmth in your heart. "I promise, Heeseung," you said, leaning in to kiss him.

He smiled, wrapping his arms around you. "That's all I needed to hear," he said, holding you close.

As you drifted off to sleep in his arms, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the wonderful moments you shared. You knew that no matter what, Heeseung would always be there for you, and you for him.
