When you get a surprise.

Heeseung had been on tour for weeks, and every night without him felt like an eternity. The empty apartment seemed to echo with the absence of his laughter and warmth. Each night, you found yourself crying, missing him more than words could express. To cope, you binge-watched sad romance movies and k-dramas, hoping to find some solace in stories of love and longing.

Tonight was no different. You had prepared a stack of movies, a cozy blanket, and your favorite snacks for another night of tearful entertainment. Just as you were about to press play, the doorbell rang, jolting you from your melancholy reverie. Confused, you glanced at the clock. It was late, and you weren't expecting anyone.

With a mix of curiosity and caution, you grabbed a shoe from the hallway—your makeshift weapon—and made your way to the door. Peeking through the peephole, you saw no one. You opened the door slightly, looking around. Still, there was no sign of anyone. Feeling a bit braver, you opened the door fully, clutching the shoe tightly.

Out of nowhere, Heeseung popped out from around the corner with a huge grin on his face. "Surprise!" he shouted, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Your heart skipped a beat, and you let out a gasp of pure joy. The shoe slipped from your hand as you ran towards him, flinging your arms around his shoulders. "Heeseung! What are you doing here? You're supposed to be on tour!" you exclaimed, your voice filled with disbelief and happiness.

Heeseung chuckled, wrapping his arms tightly around you. "I couldn't stay away any longer. I missed you too much," he admitted, his voice softening. He glanced down at the shoe on the ground and raised an eyebrow. "Were you planning to defend yourself with a shoe?"

You blushed, laughing at your own silliness. "Well, I wasn't expecting anyone, and it was the closest thing I could grab," you said, burying your face in his shoulder.

Heeseung gently lifted your chin, his eyes locking onto yours. "I'm glad to see my love is ready to defend our home," he teased, leaning in to kiss you gently.

As your lips met, the weeks of loneliness and longing melted away. The kiss was tender and filled with all the emotions you had been holding back. When you finally pulled away, you rested your forehead against his, savoring the moment.

"I can't believe you're here," you whispered, tears of joy filling your eyes.

Heeseung wiped away your tears with his thumb, smiling warmly. "I wanted to surprise you. The tour can wait; you're more important," he said softly.

You pulled him inside, closing the door behind you. "I was just about to start another sad movie marathon," you admitted, laughing at the irony.

Heeseung smirked. "Well, how about we change that plan? How about a happy movie marathon instead?" he suggested, pulling you onto the couch.

You nodded eagerly, snuggling up next to him. As you settled in, Heeseung reached for the remote. "But first, let's get rid of all these sad movies," he said playfully, scrolling through the options until he found a lighthearted comedy.

You laughed, feeling lighter than you had in weeks. "I'm so happy you're here," you said, resting your head on his shoulder.

Heeseung wrapped an arm around you, kissing the top of your head. "Me too. I missed you so much," he replied, holding you close.

As the movie started, you couldn't help but glance at Heeseung, still in awe that he was actually here. He caught your gaze and smiled, his eyes filled with love.

"By the way," he said, his tone teasing, "You look really cute when you're surprised."

You blushed, rolling your eyes. "You scared me half to death!" you said, playfully swatting his arm.

Heeseung laughed, pulling you even closer. "I'll make it up to you," he promised, pressing a kiss to your lips.

You melted into the kiss, feeling a warmth and happiness you hadn't felt in weeks. As the night went on, you realized that no matter how far apart you were, the love you shared would always bring you back together. And tonight, with Heeseung by your side, you felt whole again.
