A sea of stars illuminated the endless void of shadows. They glistened against the blank canvas, perfectly painting the sky with an infinity of light. Twinkling and twirling through the shadows, the stars guided people towards their fate. No star was brighter; though each were different in their own way. Curtains of shadows closed around lost spirits, providing a blanket of comfort that one can only dream of. Stars are meant for the lost and broken, for those people need their light the most. They watch the world move at a rate so quick it can be hard to enjoy its precious moments before it changes. But there is something on earth so precious it is a moment that has lasted for eternity.
The world as we know it revolves on an invisible balance that could tip at any moment, but something always stops it very falling to far like a safety net. When this is said many people always think of fire and water since they work together in harmony. But there is another pairing not so tranquil. The land and sea.
It is a constant battle between the never-ending sea and the sturdy earth. Waves crash into the land and the land deflects it back. The sea sends storms to demolish the land; the land stands stubborn and tall waiting for the right moment to strike. Where one attacks the other defends. They learn each other's movement and tactics- both dancing to the beat of their own drum. They are a crescendo of sound and movement encapsulating the hearts of many yet never each other's.
The land and sea are lifelong soul mates yet destined to always battle each other. Is Mother Nature really this ruthless? At least when she divided the sun and the moon, they get to meet each other once twice a year. So, we must have been telling the story wrong.
Both uphold of heavy burden. The land being strong and firm to hold life within its very palm. The ocean is flexible and nurturing holding all the tears to have been cried to take away the pain others feel. They are each other's safety net, keeping each other together when life gets rough. They humble each other when one gets out of line. They comfort each other when one experiences a loss. They adore each other with a devotion like no other. They embrace each other with a powerful love that knows no bounds.
The land and sea create their own harmony that paints their own canvas with an infinity of light. For they are proof that love can be found anywhere in the most unexpected places if you change your perspective, a love can be found so precious it is a moment that has lasted for eternity.
