"You know what, they make such an odd couple..." Luke said
"Who? Kim and Ashton?" I asked
"Yeah.."
"Why do you say they make an odd couple?" I asked
"Cause..." He said but trailed off
"Cause what?"
"I already knew Ashton before.." He started
"Well, not really know but i knew about him." Luke said
"And? What's wrong with that?" I asked
"Well, Ashton before isn't the same Ashton now..." Luke said
"How?" I was curious. Who's this Ashton he's talking about?
"Well, it all started way back then..."

LUKE'S POV
"Whew! That was..." i tried to catch my breath
I got to school just on time. I was nearly late for first period!
"Good morning sir!" We all said then sat down
I couldn't afford to be late. They deduct your points each time you get tardy. I sit here, with my glasses and bag full of books. I didn't have much friends, well. Fuck i don't have any friends at all. Books are my friend. My teachers are my best friends. I aim to be the first in my class everyday. I have blonde long hair. A fringe. That's what they call it. I think. Girls don't like me that much. I'm in sixth grade. Hi, my name's Luke Hemmings.
The teacher started the lesson. It was geometry. I'm good at geometry. I think to myself. Teacher say maybe its because of my mom cause my mom's a math teacher but no. I learned this by myself. Maybe got a little help from mom but whatever.
I got out my notebook and started taking down notes. I basically wrote every word the teacher said.
"Okay class..." Mr. Ausente started to say
"I'm gonna assign each and everyone of you a partner..."
"And take note, this is not just your regular partner. He or She is gonna be your partner for the rest of the school year." He said
Uh oh. This is gonna be bad...
"Lesly, your partner will be Andre"
"Elsa, with Mary"
"Marie, with Josh"
"Delilah with Tori"
He continued for what seems like forever then i heard my name
"Luke Hemmings, uh your partner will be.." He takes pause and scans the paper he's holding
"Calum." He says
Who? I turned around to see who was this Calum guy and there he was waving at me, smiling.
I waved back awkwardly
"Okay, I'm gonna give you the rest of my time to get to know your respective partners. GO." Mr. Ausente said
I looked at Calum and he does that "come here" sign
I got up my chair and went over to him.
"Hey, dork watch out" Some guy said with also blonde hair. Almost same as mine but he had a longer fringe. A much better fringe.
"Hey, stop that Michael!" Apparently the teacher heard him
He does that whatever shrug
"Come" Calum says
