Chapter:1

As Waverly's mom drove out of the driveway of the house she had lived in from when she was born millions of things were going through the 18 year olds mind.

How would her new school be like, what did her dads house look like, and would she meet as good of friends that she had made in California. Probably not as good as Adrian, Drew, Ray, and Ashley ever would be but a girl could hope.

The car ride would be about 6 hours. Her dad lived in Seattle, Washington after moving there when he got divorced to Waverly's mom. Waverly's parents weren't true mates which allowed them to get divorced. Her moms mate died a month after they met and after that she met waverly's dad whose mate also died by hunters. Even though they made each other happy there was always a whole in their heart for their deceased mates; which in the end led them to tearing apart.

They finally got there, she gave her mom a hug and a kiss and said goodbye. Her mom was tearing up. She strolled up the walkway. The house was a big three story house. It was white with green accents. It was a victorian style house. It was one of the perks of being the beta of the biggest pack in the country she guessed. She hadn't seen her dad in 5 years and had never been to Seattle. She opened the door. There stood her dad looking the same as he had last time she saw him. She came over to him and gave him a big hug. "I missed you, my dear" he said " So did I, dad" i said. " i'll show you to your room, I ordered pizza takeout tonight for dinner." He told me. He led me to a room on the second floor. The first room on the right. I opened it to a huge room with a walk-in closet and attached bathroom. The walls were a light blue; my favorite color. And the furniture a dark mahogany color.in the middle of the room I had a gigantic king size bed, and on the opposite wall a 42" flat screen tv. I guess you could say my dad was rich. " i love it" i told him. "I'm glad, put your bags down and ypu can come downstairs. I think I heard the door ring for the pizza." He said.

I put my bags down and jumped down the stairs two at a time, smelling the sweet aroma of the pizza thanks to my good sense of smell. We ate and talked the whole night then i went up to my room to go to bed and get some rest before my first day at thunderview high.

My alarm clock buzzed telling me it was time to wake up. I turned it off and got out of bed and walked over to my iphone and turned on Ed sheerans "kiss me". I hopped into the shower and put on the warm water. I got dressed and applied my makeup. I put on some eyeliner and lipgloss. For my outfit i wore dark skinny jeans and a pinkish colored blouse with a peter pan studded colar and combat boots accesorised with gold bangles. I had brown hair and tanned skin.

I walked downstairs and my dad made me some pancakes. I ate 3 and some orange juice. Then i went upstairs to brush my teeth. Once i was done i grabbed my vera bradley book bag and kissed my dad on the cheek and walked to school because i had my license but never got a car. It was only a 10 minute walk anyways.

I got to the school. It was huge and it only had werewolves in it. Well i guess that was believable seeing how big our pack is. I walked in and immediately was hit with the best scent ever. It smelt of cinnamon, and pine trees. My wolf was goin crazy. She was screaming something at me but couldn't make it out because the scent was just too strong.

I felt a pair of eyes on me so i turned around. The sexiest thing i have ever seen was looking straight at me. He had dirty blond messy hair, big muscles that you could see through his thin t-shirt,defined jawline,tanned skin, and forest green eyes unlike my sea blue ones. The next thing caught me off guard. He growled out "mate". That made my stomach do a backflip.

He started walkng over to me. I just couldn't think straight and all i could do was run so i started speeding out of the hallway and outside. I heard footsteps behind me. Next thing i knew was i was pushed into the wall and my sexy mate was hovering over me. He whispered in my ear "mine" and crashed his lips into mine. At first i was surprised but i went along with it.

After a while we stopped to take a breath. "My names Jace Parker son of Alpha River and what is yours?he asked. "My name is Waverly rosemond, daughter of your beta. i told him.

"Why did you run?" He asked me. "I'm not sure yet can you just leave me alone for now?" i said. "Whatever"he said. I could feel my mates pain because he thought i was rejecting him. "Wait i'm sorry i didn't mean it like that, i Waverly Rosemonde except you Jace Parker as my mate". I pledged the mate oath to him. He did the same."So you must be new." He guessed. "Yep." I said. "Well i will show you around new girl" he chuckled.

I smiled at that i am happy that i have such a wonderful mate, but did he say he was the alpha!? "You know its surprising i haven't heard of you from beta eric before." He said. That was surprising but i didn't think about it that much.

"I will take you to your class then mate" he said not even bothering to ask me. Male werewolves could be so posessive sometimes. "Ok" i said.

I caught glares from most of the female wolves. And some looks and whistles from the boys. I heard Jace growl and bring me impossibly closer to him. As we walked away i put my middle finger up at the guys and they started laughing.

We walked to the main office and Jace pulled out his schedule and told the secretary to copy it so that we would have the same classes again he didn't ask me about it and that was starting to get on my nerves. She did what he told her to and we walked to my first class which was english literature. We sat in the back seat and a minute later the teacher came in.all the other classes passed by and then Jace took me home to meet my father. We told my dad we were mates and he was so happy for us. He offered for my mate to stay for dinner
