3rd Person POV

Wylie Moonshadow sat at his daughter's bedside. He closed the book 'The Princess and the Frog', and got up to leave.

"Nooo Daddy, one more story!" Five-year-old Wakai begged, "Please?" Wylie sighed.

"Okay, princess." He agreed, "I'll tell you one you've never heard before. It's about a young girl, a werewolf, and a great curse. It's called 'The Runaway Wolf'." Wakai sat up excitedly. Wylie took a deep breath and began.

Once upon a time, there was a young werewolf. He came from a long line of alphas, and had lots of friends. His best friend was Weston Barkowitz and together they stood up against the pack's bully, Warren Steele.

When the werewolf turned 18, all the girls in the pack decided they wanted to be his mate. His parents urged him to choose one, but he disagreed.

Then one day, while the werewolf was walking through the woods, he met a beautiful young girl. When their eyes met, the werewolf knew that she was his mate. Wakai gasped, her hand on her heart.

He told his parents proudly, but they were horrified. After all, who ever heard of a werewolf falling in love with a human? The pack shunned him, and Warren was worse than ever. Only Weston treated him no different.

After weeks of this treatment, the werewolf decided to run away from the pack with his true love. His parents said that he could not leave, for he was still a werewolf. And if the humans ever discovered the pack, they would be killed.

Warren came up with a solution. They would use the power of their moonstone necklaces to strip the werewolf of his magic. It was incredibly painful, and it left the werewolf defenceless. Human.

Free at last, the werewolf ran out of the den for the last time and into the arms of his lover. They eventually got married, and started a family of their own. But Warren had warned him about something. If the werewolf were ever to come back to the den, he and his lover would be killed.

Lyra appeared at the doorway. "Wylie, are you done? It's late and..." Her gaze fell onto Wakai, asleep on her bed. She smiled. Her husband frowned. "I've been thinking about that story a lot lately." Lyra sat beside him. "Have you?" She glanced at Wakai, sound asleep. "We could..."

Wylie raised his eyebrows, "Really? But what about..."
Lyra shook her head, "I'm sure they've forgotten. After all, it's been 8 years. We'll do it tomorrow, and leave Wakai at the Buchanans. They're the people I trust the most." Wylie nodded.

"Tomorrow."
