The Sleepover

"You can't leave until this war has subsided." Balisto said to Valen while walking around talking to anyone in his path. Everyone was in panic since the last time they had a war was..a long time ago.

Rayyana had briefly recalled the safety precautions of the palace posted at the front gates. They had zero chance of survival and the great king Alejandro who was currently taking a small nap knew this.

"I can't let Marium stay where ever she is being kept Balisto." Balisto absentmindedly nodded "I know Valen, I want her to be back as well but I can't risk sending you all out while there is an active war."

"Wait, have you done anything to offend isle de la suenos?" Rayyana wondered out loud. Balisto shook his head "No, that's why i'm confused, why the sudden war?" It was weird for an isle to just plot out a war, convenient as well. 

Rayyana thought about it, the timing was odd and Marium was still missing. Could this possibly be a destraction so they could keep Marium longer? Or was this just a normal war with extremely bad timing? Rayyana didn't know what to do, she could go to the isle of forgotten and see if Marium is there, or find a way to sneak to isle de la suenos.

But then, what if the isle of forgotten and isle de la suenos were plotting together to distract them so they can go to the wrong isle? Rayyana sighed wishing she wasn't such a over-thinker.  "The war isn't going to happen in the next second Balisto, we still have time to escape and go to the isle of forgotten."

Balisto turned around to say something when the ground shook beneath them sending them lurching backwards. "You were saying?" Balisto gritted his teeth and started shouting orders at guards and any one who listened. "Fatima press that button." Balisto pointed to a wall where a huge red button that said "EMERGENCY" was put.

"I want to press that button." Rida whined reaching towards it, Fatima reached towards it as well saying "No, he said me!" The two got into an argument pushing and shoving each other, Rayyana turned to Gojo and Jean who were also currently arguing. "My girl is beautiful!" Gojo said "No mine is!" Jean yelled back both of them fist fighting each other.

Rayyana turned back to Fatima and Rida who were pulling each other's hair in anger. Frustrated, she reached over and pushed the button, an alarm ringing out making Fatima and Rida stop to cover their ears. "Wasn't so hard was it?" Rayyana glared at them, but they were too busy glaring at each other.

Fatima and Rida both hmph at each other and went to Gojo and Jean who were still fighting. "Come Jean." Fatima said pulling him away from Jean and going in a other direction from Rida and Gojo. "Wh-HEY Where are you going?" Rayyana called out to both Rida and Fatima who turned their heads and called over their shoulder "AWAY FROM HER!"

Rayyana was pacing the war room, stuck and alone. Rida and Fatima were fighting and gone God know's where, Balisto was too busy telling orders, Alejandro and Rumaisa no one knew where they were, and Valen was stuck patrolling the guards, leaving Rayyana completely alone.

"Think Rayyana think, what would Marium do in this situation?" Rayyana thought about and decided that Marium would honestly just say "We will go after the war ends" but Rayyana couldn't wait. Taking a deep breath she decided the latter, she would have to go by herself.

Rayyana ran to their room, praying no one was there which thankfully, no one was. She grabbed the maps both she and Alejandro drew putting them in a satchel. She grabbed a large dark blue cloak putting it on and drawing the hood up to hide her. She quickly ran to the kitchen grabbing as much water and food as she possibly could.

She was scared, but she had to go save her friend war or no war. Taking a deep breath, Rayyana went to the fireplace and clicked a block that was actually a secret button to exit the palace. Rayyana had discovered it after she and Sasha had snuck into the palace. She crawled through the entrance listening as the fireplace behind her closed again, showing a normal fireplace.
