"Just leave please Rico" I replies as my tears crash to the floor. "I need time to think." "Okay Selena and when you make up your mind just know that I will always be there...jus- take all the time you need." He says in remorse. "Asi."
As Rico got up to leave and he leans in and kisses my forehead whispering "Te Amo Selena Ramirez." "Te Amo Rico Garcia." After Rico leaves my house breaks down throwing things all around the house. I hear a knock at the door. "SELENA ARE YOU OKAY!?!" My best friend Renea screams outside the door. I pause realizing what was going on.
"I'm fine Nea jus- just come in." I said. "Asi, girl there are, are you okay?!?" She questioned. "What the hell did Rico do now, he's not in trouble is he, Lena tell me is my big brother in some shit again." She said this time demanding a answer. "Renae did you know Rico was apart of the Latino Red Devils!?!" I shouted as the tears flooded my eyes. "HELL NO THIS IS NEWS TO ME WTF!?!?!" She screams. "Who the hell was gonna tell me that mi grande hermano was in the scariest gang of Latinos out there, worse then the ones back in Mexico, Ooo wait till I get home I'm going to tell mami" she confessed.
"Renea what am I supposed to do, I love your brother so much." "What the hell am I going to say the next time he comes over, I don't want to hurt him God knows that I-...I just don't want that in my life, I don't want to loose him like I lost my tio Ricardo and mi papi you know. I just want Rico to stay safe and to be with me." I confessed as tears stained my green shirt. "Selena my brother loves you so much that he would do anything for you, am I mean anything maybe I can talk some since into him. Huh? Dose that sound good?" She says. "Si, thank you so much this is why you'remy best friend Renea." I confessed letting more tear fill my already half swollen eyes.
"I know girl now come here so I can get you cleaned up." She says hugging me them taking me to the bathroom. 'Lena you know my brother would do anything to protect you right?" She ask. "Si Renea I know, that's what I don't understand about the whole thing. Doesn't Rico know that joining the LRD is endangering him, his familia and me?" I asked. "Sometimes my brother has to learn the hard way you know? That's the only way for him to learn sometimes." She admitted.
This is a really "touch and go topic for me to write. This story takes place in Chicago, IL present time. In this story you might just learn a thing or two about the life surrounding the couple.
