.☘︎ ݁˖ the Journey Begins: New Allies and Unexpected Promises.☘︎ ݁˖

--
Coby had endured countless days of bullying by the crew of Alvida. His life on the pirate ship was a nightmare, filled with fear and humiliation. One day, while searching for a drink, some of Alvida's pirates found a heavy barrel and assumed it was filled with alcohol. To their shock, when they opened it, out popped Luffy, who had been resting inside.

The pirates tried to fight Luffy, but he quickly defeated them with ease. Hungry, he demanded food, and Coby, seizing the opportunity for an escape, dragged Luffy to a room full of provisions. While Luffy devoured the food, he talked with Coby, learning about his dream to become a Marine.

"You should be brave, Coby," Luffy said between bites. "Put your life on the line for your dreams."

Coby blushed, feeling a mix of admiration and shyness. There was something about Luffy's earnestness and determination that made his heart race. "I... I can't join the Marines," Coby stammered. "I'm under Alvida's control."

Luffy's eyes sparkled with determination. "I'll help you with that."

Determined to free Coby, Luffy confronted Alvida. Encouraged by Luffy's bravery, Coby found the strength to stand up for himself. He insulted Alvida, calling her a tyrant, feeling both stressed and proud of his newfound courage. The subsequent battle saw Luffy defeating Alvida, allowing them to escape to a nearby village.

In the village, Coby couldn't stop thinking about how Luffy's words had changed him. He made a promise to himself to become stronger and, perhaps one day, reunite with Luffy. Deep down, he hoped that by then, he might be taller and more confident, someone worthy of Luffy's admiration and maybe even affection.

As they wandered the village, they heard rumors about a notorious swordsman causing a scene at a bar before being captured by the Marines. Intrigued, Luffy asked Coby about the swordsman.

"He's Roronoa Zoro," Coby explained. "He's known for using three swords."

Luffy and Coby found Zoro tied up in the Marine base courtyard. They watched as a young girl brought food to Zoro, only to be struck by a blond Marine officer. Disgusted by the officer's behavior, Luffy decided to intervene.

Approaching Zoro, Luffy began to untie him. Zoro, unable to see his helper, asked what he was doing. Luffy offered to help if Zoro joined his crew. When Zoro looked up and saw Luffy's determined and cute face, he blushed slightly. Noticing, Luffy asked why Zoro was red, but Zoro brushed it off and requested the food from the ground. Luffy complied, handing over the meal the girl had left.

Zoro initially refused Luffy's offer, but after his stomach rumbled loudly, he reconsidered. "Give me the food first," he said.

Luffy managed to help Coby convince the Marines to take him in. Coby was immensely happy, vowing never to forget the cute boy who had changed his life. Back on their makeshift raft, Zoro was surprised by its simplicity but sighed and accepted it. Luffy rested on Zoro's lap, making Zoro smirk. As they sailed, Zoro spotted an island on the horizon, marking the next step in their journey.

Reaching the island, Luffy looked forward to finding another crewmate. Still resting on Zoro's lap, he felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. Zoro, smirking, looked at the island they were about to reach, ready for the adventures and new allies that awaited them. As they approached the island, Zoro reflected on his new captain. The boy resting on his lap was both endearing and inspiring, making Zoro feel a sense of loyalty he hadn't expected.

The island was bustling with activity, and Luffy, eager to find new crewmates, quickly jumped off the raft, dragging Zoro along. They wandered through the streets, encountering various townspeople who spoke of a talented navigator who could read the weather like a book.

Luffy's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Let's find this navigator and see if they'll join us!"

As they followed the townspeople's directions, Luffy couldn't help but think of Coby. He hoped his new friend was doing well and getting stronger. He knew they'd meet again someday. For now, his focus was on finding more crewmates and continuing his journey to become the Pirate King.

With Zoro by his side and the promise of new adventures ahead, Luffy felt unstoppable. Together, they would face whatever challenges came their way, forging bonds that would last a lifetime.
