Diana's POV
A soft knock on the door sounded before the people from before and the guy from the picture walked in.
"Hey, Diana. How are you feeling?" The redhead asked.
"Like I have a huge block in my brain, a broken leg, and wounds all over my body. How do you think I feel?"
"So your personality is still there. Good to know."
"One other thing that might be good to know is that Diana can't transform with a broken leg."
"She can't?" The girl with black hair furrowed her eyebrows.
"She transformed when I was fixing her up after the accident. Her leg was broken then."
"What changed between then and now?" The boy from the picture looked at all of us.
"She got a cast."
"Could that interfere with it?" The girl with black hair asked.
"Probably. Are any of you strong enough to pull it off?"
"If we pull it off, then we have to get a new one and they'll ask what happened. We can't do that."
"Well then Diana can't swim with you guys until she's fully healed."
"I can still swim, just without a tail. Just like everyone else." I smiled at them.
"Mom will never let you swim with a cast."
"Yeah, your mom is super overprotective when she's home," The redhead told me.
"Okay, then I can wait until I'm healed."
"No, you can't. It's a mermaid thing. We have to swim everyday or we barf," My sister informed me.
"I forgot about that," The girl with black hair said.
"That has to suck."
"We found out on the first day of school, too."
"Wow. What am I going to do? I obviously can't go without swimming."
"Maybe our teachers know the answer."
"I'll run up to the school and see if one of them is still there." The boy who helped me out walked out and I assume that he headed to the school.
"How do our teachers know anything about this whole thing?"
"We got four very special teachers who are mermaids like us. They almost always have the answers to our problems."
I nodded in understanding. "Could you guys tell me who you are again?"
"Of course. I'm your boyfriend, Jackson. We've been on a couple dates. I asked you out on the first day of school."
"How long have you known about me being a mermaid?"
"A couple weeks."
"Okay. Who's next?"
"I'm Max. Your best friend since we were four years old. We became mermaids together."
"And I'm Alyssa. We've been best friends since we were ten. I became a mermaid with you and Max."
"What about the other guy?"
"That's Cameron. He is a close friend. He is also Alyssa's boyfriend. He found out about us being mermaids the day after we transformed."
"How did he find out?"
"He saw my tail after he accidentally got me wet. He checked on me out of concern."
