65 : since the beginning

After they know about the pregnancy, Jaeyun decided to invite her parents to his penthouse for a dinner and discuss. It's Mrs Sim's idea so they can decided what will happen next to their own kids.

Right now, Hyejin blankly stared at her own reflection while putting on a lipstick. She didn't realized when Jaeyun standing behind her and looking at her with some concern.

Since that day, Hyejin spend most of her time spacing out and most of the time Jaeyun will noticed she'll shed her tears. He understands how pregnant woman will go under a drastic change emotionally.

He want to comfort her but most of the time he'll feel unwell. Even today, his head still dizzy but they need to make sure today everything will settle down. He put his hands on her shoulder.

“Jaeyun?”

“You're spacing out again. What did I tell you, love? Just put everything on me and I'll handle it. Don't act like this. You're making me worried.” he rubbed her shoulder to comfort her.

“What if... What if they don't like this baby? What if they ask me to do abortion? I love this child already, just like how I love you, Jaeyun.” hearing that makes Jaeyun can't help but smiling.

He left a deep kiss on her forehead and down to both of her temples, “I know, love. I love this child just how I love you too, Hyejin! I love it more than anything that I have.”

He pulled her into a warm hug just to make her calm down. Hyejin hugged him back and resting her head on his left chest, she could feel how fast his heart beating.

Someone knocked on the door and it's Hana. Both of them look at each other before Jaeyun gave her sign to go to first. It's her parents and she needs to be there at least. After awhile he go down downstairs with so many thoughts.

Everything will be fine.

There's nothing to worry about.

“Sim Jaeyun,” his mom called him and Jaeyun quickly stop spacing out, “come here, our guest is finally here! Don't making them waiting!”

At the dining table, Hyejin already sat at the chair next to her parents meanwhile Hana right next to him. Jaeyun greets Hyejin's parents politely. He never thought this day will come.

“Good evening, Mr and Mrs Park.” he greets her parents politely with and little smile.

Mrs Sim signed him to sit down so they can continue their today's agenda. He sat down next to his sister and their dinner officially started. They don't talk about the main issues during dinner and deep inside Jaeyun feels a little bit calm.

Most of the time it's only Mrs Sim and Hyejin's parents talking meanwhile Jaeyun only listen and respond when he thinks he should. After all, the dinner was fine. He glared at Hyejin and she gives him a soft smile, assured him everything will be fine.

After dinner, Hana asked Hyejin to help her to clean the dining table and dishes meanwhile their parents along with her brother discussing at the living room. For some moment Hyejin will take a look just in case something out of control happen.

Jaeyun felt a pressure like this in his whole life. Sitting right in front of Park Hyunseok, Hyejin's father, only makes him look weak and helpless. Thinking about what will happen after this. Their relationship, their baby.

“So, we're already here and I hope both of you can say your opinions as Hyejin's parents. As a mother, honestly I'm really disappointed with my son's action but our Jaeyun, he's ready for anything that will happen. I do admit my fault here as a mother and also as a long friend.” Mrs Sim opened the topic first.

Mr Park slowly nodded meanwhile Jaeyun seems a little bit confused.

“Honestly, what happened between you Daehyuk is nothing to do with our kids issue here and we didn't see Jaeyun like that. He met me without you by his side is already enough as a proof of his responsibility. Instead of stay down to heart, you should proud of your son because he bravely come and meet us. This issue ain't an easy one since both of them haven't married yet.” Mr Park replied and it makes Jaeyun more confused.

“Besides, it's not a big deal for us because we already know about Jaeyun since he was a baby. They already met each other before and we already talked about it with Daehyuk. It's funny for us too because they're like pulling towards each other.” Mrs Park added and Jaeyun can't help but asking.

“What is all of this about?” all of them look at each other before Mr Park signs him to follow him.

From the kitchen, Hyejin saw how stressed Jaeyun look right now and she started to get worry. She rubbed her belly and look down. Feel a little bit sad if anything happens on Jaeyun. Hana tapped her shoulder and hugged her from behind.

“Don't worry, he'll be fine!”

“But, Hana...”

Jaeyun and Mr Park stood next to his swimming pool. The old man stared at the dark sky while calmly sniffing the smell of night breeze. He look at the young man next to him and he gives him a little smile.

“Daehyuk and I were best friend. But he decided to live in Australia because his business was getting bigger there. We both agree to meet each other and visit if we got times. By the time, your mother informed us about her pregnancy and surprisingly a few months later my wife also got the same news. We were waiting for the perfect time to meet each other. Simply I would say we want Sim Jaeyun and Park Hyejin meet each other—as a baby,”

“Both of you spend so many times together and we decided to arrange a marriage between you two. The heirs of each family—won't it will be powerful? Your mother always shared about you and your sister not even once we miss. We tried to find a perfect time to meet you two but universe said the otherwise. Sim Jaeyun finally met Park Hyejin in unexpected event, am I right?” Mr Park glared at Jaeyun.

Jaeyun gulped.

Mr Park take a deep breath before he talked again, “don't feel sorry because I already forgive you but Jaeyun this issue is very serious so we need to discuss it.”

“And don't worry that much, she's all yours since you're a baby.”
