"You don't have to be here long, just five minutes is all I'm asking." Green grey eyes pleadingly gazed into green ones.

"..." Rantaro looked at the doors, then at the shorter boy, then back to the doors until he made his choice.

"Fine, I'll stay five minutes." He relented with a sigh.

Meanwhile in a particular bedroom, a blonde girl stirred before her eyes fluttered open. She squinted at the sudden change in brightness as she tried to get up, a stabbing pain piercing through her skull the moment she did.

"What the-" She cut herself off as she rubbed small circles between her eyebrows with her fingers.

The last thing she remembered was the feeling of world shattering fear as she weakly tried to open the doors to the main building.

She wondered how she got to what she hoped was her room, how long she had been unconscious for, what happened to her boyfriend and her friends, and what was going to happen to her when they realised that she's awake.

Determined to at least figure out what happened to her friends, she weakly rolled over, hissing in pain as she did so.

She pushed herself upright and managed to stand up, noticing the slight blur in her vision.

"It's probably nothing." She reassured herself, steadying against the wall.

She touched the side of her head in an attempt to subdue the pain, fingers rubbing against bandages.

Panic flashes through her as she tried to rationalise how severe her injury had been. It couldn't have been enough to need bandages, right?

She slowly walked towards the door, trying to ignore the pain that persisted.

"Thanks, you all. Honestly I'm glad I really did need the bit of time outside to clear my thoughts." Rantaro smiled.

"Glad we could help dude! If you want we could walk you back to the dorms." Kaito responded with a thumbs up.

The adventurer politely declined the offer, knowing the group would want to see the Ultimate Pianist.

Once back at the dormitories, the green haired teen stopped in his tracks.

Unsure if his eyes were deceiving him, he blinked a few times. Sure enough, Kaede Akamatsu was slowly making her way towards the door with a smile on her face.

"Kaede...?" He said softly.

"Rantaro!" She beamed in return.

Quickly, he ran to her before picking her up and spinning her around, smiling widely as tears began to prick at the corner of his eyes.

"Oh I'm so glad you're finally awake again, I missed you so much." He embraced her as tightly as he could without restricting her breathing. "You shouldn't be walking about though, everyone's gonna want answers from you and you just woke up."

"I'm fine, you don't need to hide me away like I'm some fragile princess." She mused.

He sighed and released her before explaining everything that had occurred from when she was found to the current moment, excluding the details of him neglecting his own health for the sake of looking after her.

"Over a month..." The pianist trailed off, allowing herself to be led back to her dorm.

"The others are immediately gonna want you to explain everything that happened before we found you so I want you to stay here while I act the same as before, I'll bring you food and everything just don't leave your room." The adventurer said.
