In the shadows, Tsumugi Shirogane watched on with a deep frown. She needed a way to get rid of her target, perhaps she should focus more on her partner.

Morning came sooner than Rantaro thought.

The announcement woke him up, he was excited to spend time with his girlfriend, even if it was in the presence of other people.

The ringing of his doorbell got his attention, it was rather persistent.

Standing at the door was none other than the Ultimate Supreme Leader himself, Kokichi Oma.

"What? You're just waking up?" The shorter teen teased.

"The announcement just went off, give me a bit to get ready and get Kaede." The adventurer lightly chuckled.

After a few moments of back and forth banter, the purple haired ultimate left for the dining hall.

Kokichi popped his head into the dining hall, seeing that his partner had sat at the end of the table, leaving only one chair at his side.

"Good morning." Shuichi said with a smile once his partner sat down. "What's the update on Amami and Akamatsu?"

"They're on their way now! Could you believe Amami was just getting up when I stopped by?" The supreme leader exaggerated.

"You did have me up pretty early today, I don't blame him." The detective chuckled.

Slowly the room was filled with more Ultimate students, Kaede and her boyfriend being the last to arrive.

"Good morning!" The pianist greeted everyone, earning positive or neutral greetings in response.

"Isn't it strange?" Angie suddenly spoke. "Monokuma was so devoted to getting us to kill each other but in the end it was him, indirectly, who attempted the first kill."

"Now that you mention it, I definitely see where you're coming from." Tenko added.

"Perhaps he had become too irritated by our cooperation." The voice of the Ultimate Anthropologist was heard.

"Monotaro said 'it was for the mastermind because they were bored' when he confessed. It wasn't Monokuma, but the mastermind among us." The detective pointed out.

"If the mastermind was really bored, why don't they just end the killing game?" Tsumugi added, trying to keep herself as unsuspecting as possible.

"With how we've all become close over the past few months, I doubt any motive would convince us to kill each other." Shuichi spoke again, directing a smile towards his classmates.

"Yeah, we're like found family!" Kaito cheered from his seat, earning smiles from the remaining 14 students.

Breakfast ended up being a good bonding opportunity for the group, but eventually they all split off into their respective cliques. Left in the dining hall were Shuichi, Kokichi, Rantaro and Kaede.

"We're gonna have so much fun today! You've got no clue what I have planned!" The shortest of the group beamed, standing in his chair.

"Kokichi, we agreed that you wouldn't tease Keebo...or insult Iruma." The detective shuddered at the last part, actively remembering the Ultimate Inventor's rather eccentric quality.

"Awh, you're no fun babe!"

"I honestly haven't put any thought into any suggestions, I thought you two had that covered." Rantaro chuckled.

Suddenly, the Ultimate Pianist gasped as she wore a wide grin.

"You could paint our nails! Remember when you did that with me and Shirogane on our first day?"
