He brought chocolate for me too. I felt giddy at that and couldn't stop myself from smiling even when I slept.

My morning alarm woke Kian too like usual. It wasn't shrill but he was a light sleeper and for the past week, he has been waking up at the same time as me each morning due to my alarm.

He didn't express any problem with that so I assume it must be fine.

Also, his room had a major lack of a dressing table and I had to do my makeup and hair in the bathroom itself.

Thankfully, the bathroom countertop was big and spacious with his products taking up only a corner.

I left the door slightly open but I didn't expect him to enter inside while I was already there.

Still, I smiled at him through the mirror while putting on some blush on my cheeks. "Good morning, hubby."

His eyes met mine in the mirror and he stared at me intently.

My eyes travelled over him taking in his messy hair, the fitted black t-shirt and grey sweatpants.

I looked away and focused on my task before I could embarrass myself.

"You know you could tell me if my alarm disturbs you, I will do something about it. You don't have to get up when I do because of my alarm, usually, people sleep through it but you are a light sleeper as I have noticed, not that I notice you all the time...I mean I do observe you, there's a difference between those two."

I proceeded to put on my nude lipstick and then I was done as my hair was already put up in a bun.

"And thanks for the chocolate, I didn't get to eat it yet but I will today. It will be my snack for today especially when people irritate me, I will have something sweet to calm me."

I turned around to leave but I ended up bumping my forehead against Kian's chest as he had moved right behind me.

His hands grabbed the countertop on either side of me, trapping me in, my hips leaning against the counter.

"What?" I asked him, trying not to show how his closeness affected me.

His eyes held mine captive and he leaned down making my breath hitch.

"I...I...am getting late..." I mumbled, hoping he would just step back but he didn't.

I grabbed his wrist, trying to remove his hand and he froze, his eyes dropping down to where I touched him.

I followed his eyes. One more thing that I learnt about him was that he hates physical touch.

I slowly unwrapped my fingers from around his wrist, smiling sheepishly.

He finally removed his hands from my sides and I sighed mentally in relief. He didn't step back hence my side brushed against his chest as I hurriedly walked out of there.

I was early as usual when I went down for breakfast and one of the cooks filled a plate with waffles for me and I thanked her before settling on the dining table.

Three minutes later, I was halfway through eating when Kian walked in, dressed in a black suit and was in the process of adjusting his cuff links.

For a second, I was in awe of how handsome he looked but in a scary way.
