Chapter 3

I was finally in my senior year and I was excited. David threw a house party to celebrate and it was epic. Since he had become friends with Jen's brother, a few of his college friends came around. That was when I knew Zane had a brother. No, my bad, two elder brothers. Michael and Nicolas. Michael was around twenty-five while Nicolas was around twenty or twenty-one, I don't remember. He also had an elder sister, Nicole, and yes, Nicolas's twin.
Either way, Maddie had been acting weird. I think she was pregnant and refused to tell me.
Maddie who loved drinking, a mini drunkard, forfeited alcohol that night. Not even a sip, claiming it was bad for her health.
" Madison Green! Are you pregnant!?"
I growled angry that my best friend was keeping a secret from me.
"I didn't plan to. I- I was lost in the moment and forgot to use protection. I'm sorry,"
" Who is he? And does he know?"
" H- he doesn't know yet. I wont tell him. I'll take it out,"
" What?!!!!"
" I'm a child, about to have a child. My parents would have my head," she cried.
" Who is he?"
"..."
" Madison,"
" I can't tell you, at least not yet."
I wanted to pressure her but I changed my mind and held her.
"But promise me you'll tell him about his baby,"
"I promise. But don't tell anyone, not even David."
" Why not David? He loves you like a sister, so why?"
" I'm not ready to meet anyone judging eyes,"
" David won't judge you. I promise,"
" No Taylor. Promise me,"
I was quite surprised she used my full name, instead of Tay. Giving up, I sighed and said;
" I promise."
     ........
"What!!! She's pregnant for David?!!"
"Tayla! She's not pregnant for David. I'm not even supposed to tell you that, but I trusted you and you're screeching like a banshee."
" Fine. I won't tell anyone, but don't say I didn't warn you."
I ignored her and continued dancing to the music. 
     Days Later:
My mouth was itching to tell David but she was my best friend and I promised. I literally swore not to, but he was bugging me about why she refused to speak to him. I told him she was going through an emotional episode and needed space.
One evening, I went to the store to get a few hair stuffs...okay, I was going to dye my hair and I bumped into Nicholas.
"You're the Taylor Brown, yeah" he asked.
"Yeah, I am. And " the"?"
" Yeah, "the". " The" Taylor Brown who's dating an ex player."
"Exactly, ex."
" Has he changed?"
" Of course. I won't be with him if he hasn't,"
"...." He stared at me with amusement dancing in his eyes. "You don't know, do you?"
"Know what?"
"That Madison Green is pregnant for David Tanner."
What?!
" Excuse me. I don't know you, I barely see you, so you don't know me. You cannot go around accusing my boyfriend and best friend,"
" Alright. Just hope he doesn't pull through with his plans tho."
With that, he walked away. What the fudge!
