Time skip to Percy being 12

Percy POV

Today, I am twelve years old. Today, my mom has been dead for nine years. Today is my sixth birthday with Mama, Papa, aunt Hestia, Uncle Hephaestus, and my sisters. I love them a lot, aunt Hestia always makes me a blue birthday cake, to honor my mom. My (original) sisters, and adoptive parents, along with my aunt and uncle are always very supportive, but like always at some point that day I cry all alone. Just me, by myself. And I pretend that she is hear, celebrating my birthday, with me. Right now, we just handed out cake, which happened after supper and presents. Everyone is having a good time while I'm all alone crying my eyeballs out, pretending to give my mother a piece of cake, that she made. And for the first time someone came. Papa came and sat beside me, after a moment of silence he broke it, "Hey, how you holding up?" his voice was soft and welcoming, gentle, quiet, barely above a whisper, and that is all it took to have me go from silent tear streaming down my face to loud, snobby, sobs. Each one filled with a heart breaking loss of a loved one, because nine years ago my mom was forced to leave, and she wasn't coming back. I couldn't even recall the way she looked without remembering the rotting corpse, that was to her dead body, hanging on the wall, as I stared at her wishing that she would protect me from the beating I would have been receiving.

Later that night Papa tucked me into bed, he decided to crawl under the covers with me. I'm so glad he did, cause I think I'm done crying alone.

A/N I know it's super short but I figured after leaving you people hanging for a while you people should get another chapter immediately, even if it is just a short filler chapter.
