I know the picture is of a softball and a baseball player, but you get the point(;
Jayden's POV
School's over now and now it's GAME TIME! Liz, Bailey, Karli, Shy, and a few of the other girls walk onto the field.
"Okay girls, this game is just to see who plays the best where, keep your attitude up and I'm also judging a few more things, but let's go beat the crap out of Baker High!" Coach Jim says as he reads off the lineup; Jayden/center field, Liz/short stop, Shy/third base, Bailey/pitching, and the list went on and on. We started warming up and people started to fill the bleachers.
"Okay girls, it's going to be a good game. The run rule is 12,10,8 after 3,4, and 5. We'll finish the inning. Any questions?" The umpire says as both teams stand by home. We're playing at our field, so obviously we're home.
1st inning;
•I catch all three outs in the outfield, the third was a diving catch and everyone held their breathe, but I hung into it. Plus no one scored.
•We were up to bat and Liz, Shy, Bailey and I all scored. We're up 4-0
2nd inning;
•Liz made an out, I made an out and Karli had an out. They scored 2, though.
•Then they held us to the four we had before.
Anyway inning after inning went by and now the game is tied and we're at the top of the 7th inning (in softball you play seven innings total) and we have two outs and the girl on the other team hits a shot to the outfield and I tell Karli that I got it and I make a diving catch to keep us in the lead 10-9. The umpire calls the ball game and we line up and give high fives to the other team and then pack up all our stuff.
Everyone is saying congrats to me and telling me that was an amazing catch and I say thank you, but that was my job. If you're in the outfield your job is to catch everything in the air and get the ball in as fast as possible. I did my job; nothing more, nothing less. Then, couch came over told me that I did a beyond amazing job in center tonight and I said, "Thank you, but all I did was my job; I caught everything in the air and got the ball back in." I say and with that I walk out of the dugout and I see Hayes. I walk over to him and he says, "You played an amazing game."
"Why thank you Grier." I say with a smile.
"Here, catch." He says as he throws me a softball with some writing on it. I read the note on the ball and I can't help but smile.
The ball said;
I know that I might strike out asking you this, but will you go out with me to dinner and maybe we could catch a movie after?
All I could do was smile like an idiot and jump into his arms.
"I'll take that as a yes." He says with a little laugh.
"I thought you would never ask." I say as I smile at him and wrap my legs around his torso. He starts to lean in and so do I, our lips lock and it was amazing.....fireworks literally shot off inside me. I open my eyes as we pull away to see Liz and some of the other girls over Hayes' shoulder. All the girls are smiling and for Liz....her eyebrows are wiggling as she mouths 'I told you so' and with that Hayes sat me down and I jumped on his back for our walk. We walked, or Hayes walked and I rode on his back, all the way to his house. I never knew, but he's Liz's neighbor. For the rest of the night we just hung out and talked about stupid stuff, just like in the hall that morning. It was wonderful, every minute with him is wonderful. He's wonderful.

Okay so YAY! He made his move, smooth Grier. Anyway don't forget to vote and comment what you think about Hayden! *wiggles eyebrows*
