It was around 10:30pm when a carriage stopped at a house right next to the Featheringtons household. Lord and Lady Dixon moved back to town with their daughter Rosie for her very first season.

Lord Dixon sighed as he walked out of the carriage and offered his arm to Lady Dixon

"To a new beginning"  Lord Dixon yelled offering his other arm to his daughter Rosie. As they walk into their new home.

Rosie was nervous when her mother first told her that it was time to make her debut. She wanted a love marriage just like her mother and father. Her best friend Simon told her to always follow her heart, and not to worry as she was the most beautiful and intelligent person he has ever met.

Rosie and Simon meet during her travels with her parents. To Simon she was the first person to not care about his title and he was the first person to not question her intelligence. From then on they became an inseparable duo. He was her brother and she was his sister.

The Next Morning

"Rosie. You must hurry, or you will be late to meet the queen". Lady Dixon told her daughter through the door.

Rosie was so tired from her travels yesterday that she forgot about meeting the queen

"I'm up, I'm up" Rosie yelled falling off the bed

As the maid hurried to get Rosie dressed and combed, Rosie couldn't help but look through the window from her room. A man getting out of his house as if he was in a hurry. Rosie couldn't help but wonder who he might be.

"Miss Rosie" Olivia, Rosie's personal maid spoke

"Yes" Rosie said looking in the mirror "it's beautiful"

Waiting for her downstairs was her father and mother

"I should be up there with her" Lady Dixon compliant

"she wanted to do this herself" Lord Dixon reminded her

"I know but she is my only daughter I should be helping her"

"She's ready" Olivia said walking downstairs

Rosie walked down with such beauty and grace and greeted her parents

"So, how do I look" Rosie said shyly

"Beautiful" "gorgeous" her mother and father said at the same time

Walking out with her mother and father hand in hand Rosie looked across the street to see a huge beautiful family. She gave them all smiles and walked into the carriage.

As Rosie was getting ready to enter the room meeting the queen the thing that she hoped didn't happen, happened. Miss Daphne Bridgerton was named diamond of the season before Rosie was able to enter the room. Knowing that she still had to present herself made her even more nervous.

Looking to her mother for advice, she was announced and the doors opened. Everyone was looking at her. Rosie just took a deep breath and started to walk with grace and beauty just like Simon always told her. She looked to her right and the huge beautiful family was there. Once she had reached the queen, Rosie slowly curtsy.

Slowly coming up the queen looked at her with a soft smile but nothing more. Rosie, feeling defeated, decided to retire early. When the Dixon family returned home there was a paper at the door.

Lady Whistledown, the paper was named

"What is it that you have there dear" Rosie's mother asked

"It seems to be a scandal sheet" Rosie confusedly said

Both Land and Lord Dixon hoped that it had nothing to do with Rosie and they know that she was already feeling down

"Well what does it say, read it to me dear" Rosie's Father said as they walked into the drawing room together.

"Miss Daphne Bridgerton was named the Diamond of the season and a diamond she truly is. But there is a new Miss in town, Miss Rosie Dixon. She is a true beauty. Makes one wonder why the Queen decided to only grace Daphne when there is clearly a Ruby right in front of her. Daphne Bridgerton might be the Diamond but Miss Rosie Dixon seems to be the rare Ruby."

Not liking that the scandal sheet was just pinning her and this daphne girl against each other decided to go to bed.
