Isabella felt strange as Sebastian touched her cheeks and stared at her. She always felt uneasy towards him due to his demonic nature. But when she fell on top of him earlier, that uneasiness was gone.
"Sebastian is not quite that bad, I guess. Maybe I just reacted strongly since this is the first time I met a demon who's not as wild as the others I've interacted with," she thought.
"Umm, Sebastian? Is it... gone?" she called out to him.
"Uh, yes. It's... gone," Sebastian said, pulling his hand away from her cheek. He felt a strange sensation lingering on his fingers, a warmth he wasn't accustomed to.
Isabella blinked and gave him a small smile. "Thank you. Let's deliver the tea, shall we?"
"Of course," Sebastian replied, regaining his composure. He picked up the tray and followed Isabella, his mind briefly distracted by the unfamiliar feeling her touch had left.
The two went towards the study room.
The door opened, revealing Damiano with a scornful face. He glanced between Sebastian and Isabella.
"We have brought tea," Sebastian smiled at him.
"I'll be back soon," Damiano muttered, leaving the room.
Ciel sniffed the tea aroma and had a bothered look. "The scent is rather weak, huh."
"We've brought Italian tea to match the guest's preferences," Sebastian explained.
"Italian tea?" Ciel questioned.
"Coffee is mainstream in Italy, so it's hard to find good quality Italian tea," Sebastian continued. "It doesn't suit your taste, I presume?"
Ciel stared at his reflection in the tea. "Yeah, I don't like it."
"I shall prepare some desserts for you," Sebastian said, putting down the teapot.
"Right. Let him enjoy it to the fullest," Ciel glanced up at Sebastian. "A Phantomhive-style of hospitality."
"Yes, my Lord," Sebastian responded.
"By the way, I thought Isabella was with you?" Ciel looked around and saw no presence of her.
Sebastian looked behind him as well. "Hmm... that's strange. She was with me when we came here."
Isabella was near the stairs, listening to Damiano insult Ciel and the talk about selling the factory. She glared in his direction, and Damiano felt a shiver down his spine while he was on a call and stared back outside the door, but no one was there.
Soon, Damiano experienced a series of unlucky events. He got lost around the manor and ran away when he saw a ghost, which was just a portrait hanging on the wall as Finny and Bardroy moved it.
Then, his legs twisted when he fell down the stairs.
Isabella approached Mey-Rin, who was looking down at the guest with a flustered expression. "What happened?"
"The guest is injured!" she exclaimed.
Isabella could sense that something dark was at play here.
Damiano was frightened when he saw the ghost again on the portrait as Bardroy and Finny approached the two girls. He crawled as he ran away.
"M-mister?" Mey-Rin stammered.
Isabella just stared down at his ridiculous figure.
Then what happened next was him burning in the oven. Isabella heard his scream and did not bother to look for him.
"It must be that demon's work," she thought as she watched Bardroy burn firewood.
"What was that voice?" Bardroy looked around. Then Sebastian appeared with tea and snacks in his hands.
"Ah, Mister Sebastian!" Finny exclaimed.
"Good work today. Would you like some Lemon Meringue Pie? Something sweet will take the edge off," Sebastian offered.
As the two praised Sebastian for his kindness, Isabella just stared at him.
"Is something the matter, Your Grace?" Sebastian inquired.
"Nothing," Isabella replied.
She approached him and patted his shoulder. "Good work, hell butler."
Sebastian was momentarily taken aback.
Isabella walked away and went toward Ciel's study with a calm expression.
Sebastian just stared in her direction with his eyebrows furrowed.
"I can't shake this feeling that she meant something when she said that," Sebastian thought.
"I have to leave now, Ciel," Isabella announced.
Ciel was now in his pajamas and looked at her. She was now back in her uniform.
"You won't spend the night?" Ciel asked.
"I have some matters to take care of," she explained.
"This late at night?" he questioned.
"Yes. It's just... a bishop thing," she smiled.
"Let Sebastian-"
"Don't bother. I am sure Sebastian is tired, is that correct?" she interjected.
Sebastian remained silent, sensing she wanted him to agree with her.
"Definitely, Your Grace," he confirmed.
"Anyway, I have to go," she embraced Ciel and kissed his forehead. "Good night, Ciel."
"I'm not a kid, Isabella," Ciel protested.
Isabella just smiled and left the room. Sebastian didn't follow her, sensing she didn't want to be followed. He felt she was going to do something she didn't want anyone to witness.
Later that night, Damiano was walking down a quiet street, crippled and burnt. He was exhausted and wanted some help.
"Do you need help, Mister?"
He heard a woman's voice and was about to answer when he recognized the face. It was one of the Phantomhive servants, Isabella, but she was not in a maid uniform but one of those in a church.
"You-"
"Ssshh," Isabella shushed him. There was a mischievous glint in her eyes and in her smile. "I just want to heal you. Can I?"
Damiano hesitated.
"I'm an Archbishop. I could lend you a hand," she offered.
"Archbishop?! If I ask for her help, I'm sure that kid will be punished!" he thought and wickedly smiled.
"Yes! Your Grace, I want help!"
"Good, then," she placed her hand on his head and said something ancient. A few seconds later, Damiano was healed. He was happy and excited to get back at Ciel.
However...
He suddenly felt pain in his head. He crouched down, clutching his head.
"W-what did you-"
"Hm? Oh, I just healed you. Of course, with a price," she smiled.
"P-price?"
"You insulted my Ciel and plan to destroy his business. How wicked you are. Someone wicked as you should be punished. Well, I just gave you something nice. Like, a beautiful nightmare," she explained.
"Noooooooooo!" Damiano exclaimed.
From that day forward, Damiano became crazy and had no sleep since he was plagued by nightmares that even a human cannot comprehend. This was truly a punishment he deserved.
